John is an artist who mainly works on creating the communal group homes he's built that houses 9 other people! It had been a while since I'd been to the apartment, so I asked John to take me on a tour of the recent developments because it's like walking through the externalization of an artistic genius' brain! The entire hallway is a communal music / book library...
Slowly but surely I've been working on reducing my number of possessions. On Sunday I went through what remained of my books (I'd already given hundreds away) and made another culling!
...and started putting aside books to donate. We'd just found out that Stuytown wanted to increase our rent again and decided to find a new apartment instead of renew our lease! (Over the next few months, I ended up getting rid of hundreds of books! But not before dragging most of them to on to another apartment).
