We ordered fancy ice cream sandwiches and played Mario Kart. Purple Yam ice cream. (Jane Anne actually likes this!! Ewww!) Started the month off strong with a visit from Jane and a new flavor of ice cream, Peanut Butter Cookie Core! Skull & Crossbones ice-cream cake for my 12th birthday, August 1988. ...and got myself a two-tone. ...and then had ourselves a Big Gay Icecream in the park. Later that night, we hit the Sonic drive-in for some tots and ice cream... Yes. ..and pineapple in blueberry compote with vanilla ice cream for dessert. (This whole meal was less than $40!) ...and stopped over to Ray's Candy Store for a soft-serve before heading home. Jared & Josh's excitement while exploring the SIX FLAVORS of ice cream was palpable. The treat-fest continued back at my apartment. ...and Sarah handled the homemade-waffles and ice cream dessert. Vanilla cone, carmel, rolled in sea salt and then dipped in chocolate. *drool* On Monday night I went to West Village to meet up with Ellen and we got some ice cream at Big Gay Ice Cream. On Sunday evening Pauly came over... ...and we celebrated his birthday with an ice cream cake! Later that night Pauly came by and we caught up on some of the new flavors unavailable in CANADIA. ...and treats stashed away in the freezer. ...scored some Schweddy Balls! Omg, new flavors. How about some Cinnamon Toast Crunch on top? WHAT? ...and make your own banana split sundae for dessert! Ice cream break! Ice cream man dessert! Hahah. Later that night, Jonah came over for a hang! Fistfulla ice cream sandwiches, yes! (I just finished listing the Chris Connelly / Saves the Day episode of Going Off Track and it's SO GOOD!) Cookie ala mode! ...TREAT TIME! On Wednesday night, Gurj, Jenny & Josh came over after work and we had an ice cream party. Haha. Happy March 2011! ...binged on a bunch of the exotic new Ben & Jerry ice creams that apparently aren't available in Canada. (Take that, free healthcare!) While he and I gorged ourselves... ...to do some bodega treat-shopping around the corner! ...complete with two new flavors of Ben & Jerrys. (whoa). We had ourselves a little store-bought treat-fest... ...YES!... Back at home, we celebrated with Nutty Buddies... Hahaha. Who wants an ice cream sandwich? (This photo makes me scream with laughter every single time I look at it) We had pie and ice cream and then.... And six flavors of ice cream for dessert! WHAT? We still finished the entire thing. Hahah. Instead of ice cream cake, we just had an Ice cream soup party! We have a treat-tastic summertime freezer. It's so good you can almost forgive the music the truck plays. Later that night we were walking to the movie theater with Matt and Ellen when we got waylaid by the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck. I went with the Salty Pimp. Check out the custom decoration job! We didn't have any decorative icing, so Sarah and Leigh improvised. They covered the cake in ton of sprinkles and then used brownie crumbs to spell out D-A-N. Hahaha. It was Dan's birthday and Sarah surprised him with an ice cream cake. Happy birthday, Dan! ...and I picked out this gallon tub of orange-colored CHEESE-FLAVORED ice cream. (It was good in a weird way. Very strange. Didn't end up making it through the gallon but I enjoyed trying it). ..AND EAT THEM AS ONE! Why decide between between strawberry and chocolate when you can just take one of each... MLE cutting up what turned out to be ICE CREAM CAKE! Holla! Scott was hiding out in the white "photo room" and...uh....eating Mickey Mouse-shaped ice cream ? And sundaes! Who's happier than me? Hahahaha. Best. Photo. Ever! Then, while waiting to find a taxi back to our hotel, we scored some McD's softserve... Best. Sunday (sundae!) ever. Hahaha. A few hours later, we gathered up our stuff and decided it was time to do all the normal post-beach stuff. You know, like get ice pops... Candles on soy ice cream! Make a wish! A day at the beach followed by some motherfucking softserve! Here's Fatty making friends with Mister Softee. ...the great David F. (who, once again hasn't returned my calls in like two months. If you read this, call me you dick!) Nothing quite like a soft serve to cleanse the pallate after a generous heaping of the General. (That's Mr. Tso to you!). Mint chocolate chip tofu ice cream with a candle. (Later on in the night, I went out to for a birthday dinner at a fancy steakhouse, but somehow I fucked up and lost those pictures. Argh!) ...while eating copious amounts of boardwalk junkfood. "Oh, hello there Mr. Corndog. Have I introduced you to my friend Funnelcake?" See? After our hot dogs, we decided we all needed some Dippin' Dots (aka - THE ICE CREAM OF THE FUTURE ). We were so hot and sweaty that the little frozen ice cream pellets stuck to our lips. Hahahah.
