Flew down to Florida on Thursday.
wing
...and flew home in the afternoon.
wing
Obligatory wing shot.
wing
...and then took me to the airport to head back home! Great to see you, everyone!
wing
In the air...

wing
See you in a week, NY!
wing
On the tarmac, the sun was dropping behind the skyline as it set.
wing
...while on layover in Miami.

Bingo! Airborne. See you later, lovely Caye Caulker.
wing
Fifteen minutes after taking off we circled San Pedro...
wing
At the airport I bought an $80 USD plane ticket out to San Pedro (the island made famous by Madonna's La Isla Bonita )
wing
Flying south along Belize's coastline. You can see the Placenia Peninsula in the background.
wing
Gorgeous jungle-river view under the wing.
wing
Touchdown in Belize!
wing
Back in the air a little after 2pm, I looked out the window and noticed things were starting to look gorgeously turquoise and tropical.
wing
We spotted Boracay from the air.
wing
Some kind of sea farming going on down below.
wing
Flying out over Manila.
wing
Chasing the sunset.
wing
Up.

Our Panamanian layover had way fewer hot Van Halen guitar licks than I'd hoped.

Sarah turned her feathery mask backwards and sprouted head-wings.

Bye, Bali!

Denpasar.

Kentucky.
wing
I love flying over NYC in the daylight.
wing
A little over two hours later and the landscape below made it pretty clear that we were over Florida.
wing
Coming down.
wing
It's like a perfect rectangle carved into the city.
wing
Central Park coming into view.
wing
I can see our house from here! (Seriously).
wing
No matter how many times I've done it, flying over Manhattan is one of my favorite things and never fails to completely bend my mind.
wing
And using the macro setting, background blur! Check out the crystals of frost around the little hole. Pretty neat, right?
wing
Then I started playing around with the camera's depth of field . Foreground blur!
wing
...and after a bit of futzing around, I managed to set up a custom "vivid color" profile so that all my pictures would turn out super-saturated and cartoon-y looking (which is the way I like 'em!).
wing
As soon as the plane was in the air, I took out my cam and began dicking around with the manual settings. I was playing around with the white balance in this pic...
wing
Touchdown!
wing
Coming in over George Town (the capital).
wing
A couple of hours later and we'd arrived! Here are a bunch of cruise ships docked in the bay.
wing
Korea, here we come.
wing
Fourteen hours later, we'd arrived at Incheon Airport, just outside of Seoul, Korea.
wing
About 30 seconds after this pic was taken, I conked the fuck out and slept the rest of the way to Texas.
wing
...then boarded the plane. Easy Jet, baby! Easy Jet. (Plane ticket from Budapest to Berlin? $24 a piece!!).
wing
...gone. Goodbye NYC (for now). San Francisco, here I (reluctantly) come.

Goodbye to the blustery, rainy, already getting dark at 4:30pm east coast!
wing
Attention Staff at the Whitney: you can email me here. I look forward to hearing from you.
wing
Same.
wing
After hours of darkness over the Atlantic, we finally hit the eastern seaboard.
wing
I don't know if it was the weird nostalgia that comes from the end of a trip or if it was the plane's neato yellow engine and bad-ass cautionary graphics that did it...but shortly after becoming airborne I became inspired to start taking some...DRUMROLL....artsy photos! Yay art!
wing
Yay, JetBlue!
wing
Look at the crazy wing - I guess that's what cheap tickets'll getcha.
wing
I wasn't planning on going, but I found cheap tickets online last minute. (Literally, I ended up buying tickets at 4am on Friday morning for a flight at 2pm later that day. What's better than the InterWeb? For seriously.)
