The May Roundup Part Two

Friday, May 14th

fatty, grant — On Friday, I went to see Grant and Fatty in (the now defunct band) Fireworks Go Up play a show at Don Hill's. If you squint, you'll notice two parenthetical blurs in the middle of the stage - those were created by Grant's feet during a double-legged DLR kick that I managed to just barely capture.

grant — Hahaha. Check out Grant leaning on Dan like he's CC DeVille in fucking Poison video or something.

scott t — During the show, Scott somehow managed to cut his thumb really badly on the highhat - despite heavy bleeding, he finished the show.

scott t — His hand was bleeding so much that it was making the drumsticks slippery, something he remedied by periodically wiping his hand on his pants. Check out the "wipe spot" on his jeans after the show.

Monday, May 17th

david k, miye — On Monday I went to Bowery Bar's karaoke with David and Miye but by the time we got there, the queue was retardedly long so we just had a drink and called it a night.

Wednesday, May 19th

On Wednesday, Grant and I got invited to some Playboy party at BLVD. Since the venue was only a block from my apartment, we decided to swing by and check it out. We got there to find the place jam-packed with Long Island meatheads sitting down and watching sports on one of th 30 or so giant plasma TVs they had on.

grant, me — And there were no girls anywhere in sight. We killed our free Rolling Rocks and promptly got the fuck out of there.

Saturday, May 22th

amanda, grant, me — Saturday night I met up with Vin and Mandy and after hanging out in Lit's sketch basement, we decided to head over and check out Misshapes.

mandy, me, vin — Despite probably being the oldest people there by, say, oh, I don't know...eight years, we still managed to outlast all those little fuckers.

Most of the time the giant bank clock outside my window just serves to remind me that I should've been in bed a long time ago.

Sunday, May 23rd

lindsay r — On Sunday morning I was supposed to go to brunch at Clinton Street Bakery, but the wait was so long that we ended up going to AKA down the street. Here's Ben (cewbrity RIP) and Lindsay.

me, sarah — Me and Sar. The best thing about sitting next to people who keep kosher is...

...is that you get their order of bacon.

grant — After brunch, I walked up to Thompkins Square Park to meet up with the snoozing and sunbathing Emily and Grant.

grant — Grant had been wearing jeans and when it started getting hot out, Emily, who'd stripped down to her bathing suit, offered up her skirt to Grant.

grant — Who them graciously gave me the sweetest "peek-a-boo package" shot of his orange man-panties (or "manties," if you will).

lola — Later that night at Lit, I ran into Lola who proudly displayed the marks from a fist fight she'd gotten in with another girl earlier on in the day at one of her kickball league's (yes, I"m serious) games. She then went on to bust out a camcorder and replay the fight (which one of her friends had managed to capture) in it's entirety.

Monday, May 24th

david k, grant — Monday night David, Grant and I hit the bar and talked about bitches, man. Bitches.

audrey, julia li — Afterwards, I headed over to Sin Sin solo and where I ran into Julia and Audrey out with two of their friends in town visiting.

amber, leigh — Leigh and Amber.

julia li, me — Some weird boy was hitting on Julia and despite her best efforts to get him to go away, he just kept at at. So when she looked over at me and gave me the "come help me!" look, I went over and in the middle of him talking to her starting giving her a dirty, dirty lapdance. Audrey had my cam and managed to capture my "I'm sure a bad girl!" face.

Wednesday, May 26th

emma, lorelei — On Wednesday we all met up at the Sunburnt Cow to celebrate Emma Taylor's birthday! Here's Lo (showing off some of the birthday girl's goodies) and Em.

me, sarah — On Thursday night I went over to Bar13 to say hi to Sarah who was DJing.

grant, larson, sid and buddy — ...SID AND BUDDY KARAOKE! After a long hiatus from the karaoke circuit, Grant came back with a fierceness! Pulling his usual ariel stunts...

candy, grant, larson, sid and buddy — ...as well as introducing a few new tricks. Like using Candy as a guitar during his song's solo. Holy fucking shit.

candy, grant, larson, sid and buddy — Grant's jam got everyone crazy amounts of worked up. Going so far as to inspire Candy to try her first DLR (David Lee Roth) onstage air kick!
