tagged together in 26 photos vin + drawing On Saturday I saw that Vin posted a drawing of me from a photo of me sitting on the beach! Amazing! I love it so much, Vin. You're my favorite drawer. Back in the beginning of January, I had commished Vin to draw me his interpretation of a bhavacakra. I showed him a few that I liked and explained the symbols and what it meant...7 weeks later he told me that he had a surprise for me...and came to my apartment with his drawing blown up huge and printed on silk! Miss you, Vin! <3 Vin had brought along his most-recent sketchbook and I went through it admiringly. Still my favorite artist! So cute! I had to help Vin pick out which Dr Randy drawing had the best likeness because he had never seen Randy's face in 3D (only in photos!). ...and we worked on editing the latest sketches from his... ...comic book about growing up in suburban CT. Vin on the wrestling team! Yes! We picked a few areas (highlighted in blue) that needed more panels. One of the first stories, M'Lady Marion, was almost finished! ...and laughing about his drawings of his 14 year-old self. Spent the morning outlining terrible things that happened to Vin in his high school years... That afternoon, Vin posted this excellent drawing of me and Eric P, based on a photo of us from September 2015 And then we went through 15 pages of new panels... ...fun to look at his pencil line drawings and work things out before he inks them! We looked through some of his old comics about dating... On Monday morning Vin came over to work on a comic book about his adolescence that we'd started working on together! Vin came over on Monday afternoon to help me... ...for Vin to illustrate for his episode of Sketchbook Skool ...for this excellent original drawing Vin did of Tokyo. Bought some excellent art from Vin on Thursday afternoon. I bought this amazing drawing of Japanese schoolgirls from friend and favorite artist, Vin Ganapathy . (Covered with tissue paper about to be framed). Meredith's sketch of Vin! Vin sketched Meredith and I sitting next to each other on a cocktail napkin (I still have it pinned on the wall next to me in my office). A couple of weeks later, Vin emailed around this awesome drawing he did to thank us for attending!
