We're trying to train Maddy to stay out of the bed but it's really difficult because our bed is really low to the ground (and because she is really adorable). So ended our first month as married folks!
On the morning of the big day, everyone let me sleep in while they went out for breakfast. Meredith took this photo of my parents coming in to wake me up! Haha.
Meredith missed all the neck-mirror and night-cheese fun because she snuck away to TAKE A NAP AT THE PARTY! Haha. I sneaked into where she was sleeping and thought I was being all crafty when I snapped this picture...
A little after 2am I arrived back at my hotel room and I was so tired I could barely walk! I hit the bed and hoped I wouldn't be too sick the next day to enjoy my last day in Egypt!
Friday was our last day in Thailand! We packed up our bags, checked them into our hotel's storage closet, and set out to do some sightseeing before catching our plane home later that night!
..The Chaweng Garden Beach Resort where we ended up with an amazing private hut right next to the beach for only 1,000 Baht (~$24 USD) a night! Check out our huge king sized bed!
On Friday morning I got up bright and early and sneaked out real quiet so that I could go on a two-dive trip that I'd booked the previous day. (PS - Sweet sleep-bandana, Axl).
When I got back to the dive shop, Mer had left a note that while I'd gone diving she'd moved us to a new hotel! (The place we'd stayed at our first night was expensive because all the cheap places had filled up!). I dropped my gear off at the dive shop and set off to find our new hotel! I got there a little after 2pm and Meredith out book shopping and exploring the shops! So I decided to take a lil' nap...
When we'd first checked in, they didn't have any rooms available that had windows! So the first thing we did when we woke up on Tuesday was head down to the front desk and get our room switched. Here's Meredith relaxing in the sunshine of our new room!
...and immediately went to bed! We'd hardly gotten any sleep the night before and figured a nice long nap might help get our bodies adjusted to local time.
Later that night, I woke Meredith (and Rocco!) up from their team nap and we packed up all of our stuff so that we'd be ready to head to the airport and catch our flight to Thailand! After we were finished packing, we headed out for dinner!
Meredith wasn't feeling well and had gone to bed early. I woke her up a little past four when I got back to the room to give her a delicious pizza snack!
I went out Friday night, but came home around 2am because I wasn't feeling well. I came into our bedroom and found this little git cuddling a stuffed animal and playing her Nintendo DS!
Leigh lets Edie sleep in the bed and Edie made it pretty clear that she expected as much from us. Daschunds were bred so that they'd be able to chase animals into holes and they apparently still love to burrow. As soon as Edie saw that I was coming to bed...
Here's Meredith the next morning totally not believing me telling her that by going to bed early she missed the opportunity to travel to a bar by boat. Hahaha.
I woke up bright and early on Thursday morning. Before waking Meredith up, I decided to take a few pics of how she sleeps: facedown, completely covered in blankets except for one leg (just one!) that she holds up in the air!
Meredith was helping planning a party for a restaurant, and one of the companies she was working with sent her a huge bag of candy and party favors. On Tuesday night, she came to my apartment and brought a ton of treats and trinkets with her!
How lame is it that I don't even have a picture of Niki considering that a) it was her birthday party and b) she is my roommate? Meredith and Ellen maxed and relaxed on my bed...
The next morning, I woke up sick as a dog. (My sickness = Instant karma payback for putting my balls on a stranger's eyebrows). Meredith took this pathetic photo of me at 8pm the next night after I spent the entire day laid up in bed.
I had to catch a super-early flight the next morning, so instead of waking Emilie up, I just left her a thank you note (and apparently took this creepy photo of her sleeping. What's wrong with me? Why do I always take pics of sleeping people? Hahaha.)
