Friday night I went over to Ellen & Hans for a dinner party... ...Ellen and Hans over for an apartment brunch! Ellen cracking up because she arrived at my apartment after they had packed up filmed for the day, and she was so excited about the prospect of getting to eat at PANCAKE PARADISE! (Awww, you mean it's not real? No pancakes?) Later that evening, Matt, Meredith & Ellen came over! Mer was getting ready to take a trip with Dylan for the first time! Aww, Piper! Waking up! Hahaha. So good. Here we go! Cards & shots! It was really cold outside, and the space was a big, open converted barn, so we had to get the woodburning stove cranking and stay sort of close. Cuddle buds. So much majesty! On Friday night, Ellen, Grant, Piper and the Dude came over for a hang. Three-dog couch party ...Sarah's birthday! Which is always just an excuse to hang... Grant's friend Andres was visiting from Vancouver. Went to a dinner party at Ellen & Hans' on Wednesday. After we ate, we busted out the big screen projector... Thanks for having us all over and cooking for us! We took turns passing around The Dude 2015, let's do this! ...and before we knew it, we were watching the ball fall! Hahah. On Wednesday evening I went over to Ellen & Hans' apartment to say goodbye to 2014! Maddy was getting stressed out with The Dude trying to play puppy games with her so she sought out... ...the safety of higher ground! ...is that it takes them a really long time to realize that they're not lap-dogs! The best thing about giant puppy dogs... Post-pizza chatting while Piper slowly... Waiting to be fed! The fluffiest puppy. Ellen, Hans, Piper and their new Golden Retriever puppy, THE DUDE! ...and take her around the party so she could say hi to everyone. Awww. Sunday night I walked over to Ellen and Han's in the West Village... On Thursday evening I got a catch up dinner with the recently-returned to NYC bride! ...open some wedding presents! We all got to watch Ellen & Hans... Piper is not a fan of the sparklers. Ellen and Hans were in the middle... The lights came up! Ellen caught her dad shaking his rump and gave him a little... ...get a load of this guy! ...and all the pictures came out great! Ding! Ellen's got moves! ...and then Ellen and Hans made an appeal for everyone to come dance! Ellen danced with her father... Up next for marryin! Action shot! ...and Ellen got ready to throw the bridal bouquet! Cake-free faces... ..are very kissable. Nobody smashed cake into anyone's face or anything. Very well-behaved! Time for some cake-cutting! After the speeches Ellen made the rounds and did some table visiting. Caught her and the Jeet laughing about something from across the room. Got caught creeping on the bride! Out on the dance floor... ...for the first dance! Ellen gave the arm-wave signal and started herding us all inside. Two more! ...more people joined in! Each time we snapped... Congrats Ellen & Hans - I love you both! Piper leading the way! Haha. ...for that magic hour light! After giving us a little time to get our dockside drank on, the bride and groom arrived just in time... Congrats, Ellen & Hans! Can't wait to see what you guys have planned at the reception! ...send them off in a gorgeous 1960s Volvo P1600! This day was like if the wedding in November Rain had a happy ending. Haha.
