Found this collage I gave to Meredith one year for her birthday. This is the kind of thing that's so hard for me to ever get rid of (even though we never hung it up when we were together).
I spotted a photo comp of Dunmore, PA (where John grew up) hanging on the wall while wandering around that John used as the study for a painting he did that hangs in the living room (that I love dearly).
This led to Danielle busting out her photo album and telling us all about where she grew up (Montana, maybe?) and the kind of things that she was into before she got into tanning...
Oh, and she was also really into HUNTING FUCKING BEARS ON ATVs! HAHAHA. Holy fucking shit, I wish you could've seen Ellen's face when she first saw this photo and tried to wrap her mind around the fact that it's high-school Danielle proudly standing in front of a dead bear laying across the ATV she used to go hunting. WHAT?
Siege gave us all awesome, limited-edition signed prints! Fatty got this portrait of himself (that was an out-take from Fiasco's first band photo shoot that Siege did).
And then while down in the basement looking for something, I discovered a trunk that I had never seen. It turned out to be filled with my dad's father's (who passed away when I was ten) photo albums from when he was a pilot in the South Pacific in WWII. Turns out he was a avid photographer that put all of his photos into meticulously arranged, chronological albums and even wrote smart-ass captions for each pic in white grease-pencil! They're amazingly similar to THIS WEBSITE. (Talk about being genetically predisposed....how strange is it that I would have a hobby so similar to my grandfather's never having known he did it?). Anyway, I spent the rest of this day scanning pages from the album and there's going to be a forthcoming "I Keep A Diary: OLDSCHOOL" edition coming up soon compliments of Hank J. Battjer.
