tagged together in 204 photos ellen + meredith On Monday afternoon we got together to celebrate Meredith's birthday! Brunch gang! Awww. That afternoon, a bunch of us met up for brunch in the restaurant my apartment (The Wayland). We played a nerdy game I like called The Quiet Year... Small dog party! ...getting to rest her face on Meredith & Ellen AT THE SAME TIME. Late night somehow the bag... Love all these ladies. I'm writing this in January of 2021 in the post-Covid era and it's nice to see all these people just chillen in a room. Went north out of the city to visit Ellen and Hans at their new home for the first time! Congrats, you two! Meredith was there and was one day away from leaving for her trip to Myanmar to visit Jack . On Saturday evening, Ellen and I went up to Meredith's to celebrate her birthday! On Saturday morning, we checked out and said farewell before splitting up into separate cars for our drive home. Here's to a brand new year - love you all lots! ;) ...and spent the evening doing puzzles and having a mellow evening together. We ordered dinner in... We packed up later that afternoon and drove to a nearby hotel so we could enjoy one more night out in the Hamptons before driving home. ...pop it off for 2016! Happy New Year! Four ladies I love. <3 Feel lucky to know all of you! (And sad that as I write this 2 years later most of you don't live in NYC anymore!) Happy November 2015! Before the month was over, we headed back to Hans & Ellen's for ONE LAST FEASTIN. I think Hans was out of town so it was a potluck style dinner. ...directly to Brooklyn to a garden party celebrating Meredith & Dylan moving in together. Later that evening, I went out to Williamsburg to meet up with some familiar faces... <3 Love all of these ones. Ellen cracking up because she arrived at my apartment after they had packed up filmed for the day, and she was so excited about the prospect of getting to eat at PANCAKE PARADISE! (Awww, you mean it's not real? No pancakes?) Later that evening, Matt, Meredith & Ellen came over! Mer was getting ready to take a trip with Dylan for the first time! Take Two was a bullseye! Waking up! Here we go! It was really cold outside, and the space was a big, open converted barn, so we had to get the woodburning stove cranking and stay sort of close. Went to a dinner party at Ellen & Hans' on Wednesday. After we ate, we busted out the big screen projector... Thanks for having us all over and cooking for us! ...more people joined in! To Ellen & Hans! Congrats! Congrats, Ellen! This night was really funny all around. I definitely remember that Meredith and Sarah got into an argument about "how many other holes are there INSIDE a vagina. (3?) Quote of the night: "Do, I count my asshole as part of my vagina because it's also 'down there?' " Later in the evening I went to La Palapa party room to celebrate Karen's birthday! ...and headed over to Matt's for Thai food and a hang! Friend portrait. First the ladies... I got shots of everyone coming back... Here we go! Our group made a slight detour along the way to climb all over a giant ant. ...to cool off outside. Matt had just gotten back in town for a few months on the road touring. Happy birthday, Mer! After the opening sparkler salvo, a cake with a candle came out! Afterwards, I took a cab down to the West Village for a Mexican feast to celebrate Meredith's birthday. These are my friends. There are many like them, but these ones are mine. Saved us from being popsicles. So thankful for these two for COMING TO OUR RESCUE! ...and later that afternoon, she and Ellen drove down from her parent's place and rescued me and Maddy! We found a fire pit near the barn and got ourselves a nice campfire going. ...and a whole roomful of people he knew yelled SURPRISE! Later that evening, Mer and I went out to Brooklyn for dinner to celebrate... Maddy flopped down next to Ellen to coach her through the burn. I'm alway asking Meredith to walk or kneel on muscle knots in my back and over the years she's gotten real good at it. Ellen had a sore mid-back and so Mer went to work. Ellen came over on Friday evening. That evening Ellen came over to join us for the Mad Men season finale and Grant's puttanesca pasta with garlic bread and salad. Silent grazing. I don't remember if there was a special occasion or if this was just a spring friend hang, but check out the solid Saturday night crew that rolled up into our place! Ellen came over to get in on the feast. Friend reunion at Apt 3a! Three books deep! Private room at Sing Sing on a Saturday night. Prime time! Ready to head out! On Saturday night a whole bunch of us got together to go out for karaoke! Our groups combined tables and we ordered lots of food. Later that evening, Jared & Ellen joined us... Ellen & Meredith were nice to come along with me. I was feeling a little shy because it's weird to go to a holiday party when you're a consultant and don't really work at the place! A little after two am we gathered our crew... Meredith shows off her final take on Sexy Fireman! Everyone hung out for a bit... Odessa brunch! Blueberry blintzes, blueberry muffins... Ellen came over later that evening! We walked the dogs over to Sheen Brothers... Later that evening, Matt and Ellen came over to welcome us back home! Yay! On Wednesday afternoon, Ellen came out to visit and hit the beach! Such party professionals! Frosting hands! Sweet summer roof. Haha. Turns out that the Real McCoy Sarah had purple hair!
