Pre-Thanksgiving Feast at Brett and Amy's

Two weeks before official Thanksgiving, Meredith and I rented a car and drove down to DC to enjoy Brett & Amy's annual PRE-THANKSGIVING FEAST!

Friday, November 13th

Enjoying Holland Tunnel traffic with Meredith and a portable lap-weasel.

Rest stop Burger King veggie burger.

French fry container that fits in the drink-holder? Next level, BK!

Tunnel to DC.

We made it to Brett and Amy's a little past 1am. Brett was up to greet the weasel!

And Teddy welcomed Maddy in his own special stomach-nibbling way!

We finally had to distract them from their epic living room chase with delicious rawhide.

Obsessed.

Haha.

Ready for bed!

Saturday, November 14th

Amy whipped up an awesome breakfast in the morning...

...including MONKEY BREAD!

and Teddy to the...

...dog park that's right down the street!

They got astroturf and everything.

Brett got mistaken for a hydrant by taller dog.

Watch your feet!

Buddies.

We've always had a dog growing up.

Brett has a picture on his fridge of him with Goldie, our last family dog, wearing a matching soccer shirt! She was the soccer team's "mascot." (Which is the polite way of saying that my mom just started showing up to games with the dog dressed in a maroon t-shirt). But in my mom's defense, Goldie really seemed to enjoy both playing with the soccer ball and wearing the shirt!

We spent the afternoon playing an epic session of Beatles Rock Band.

Sunday, November 15th

The next morning we went on a walk and enjoyed the neighborhood.

Drive home.
