Merry Christmas! Got up early and took Maddy for a holiday walk to the East River. I'm not 100% sure, but maybe this is some of London Kaye's earlier yarn-bombing work? Took Maddy for a stroll through La Plaza and noticed that someone had recently knit a sweater for one of the trees inside! So cute! Big fan of this pipe-cleanery pine tree. Around five hours later, we arrived in Montauk at the amazing house that Ellen & Hans had rented for lots of the wedding guests! Big Choppa! The pretty ferns with their early, alternating fall colors. A bunch of (Sycamore?) trees down the street are sick and their bark is peeling off. ...and Tompkins looked extra pretty.What I've Been Doing:

By Tuesday, all the snow had melted and I took Maddy for a nice long walk over to East River Park. All of the trees were ringed with wonderfully-fragrant Christmas tree mulch! Painted branches.
