I also got a big new pot so I could re-pot my dragon tree, Robert Plant. ...and this here is his spiderwort buddy, Wandering Jew . Also went to the store and got two new plants! I was going to give these guys fun plant-names, but the names they came with were already pretty good! This guy's called Creeping Charlie.... Ferns are my favorite plants. Not only are they beautiful, I love the sweet and "plant-y" way they smell. Mmmmm, smells Devonian-ish . Got this tiny new fern at the grocery store. Morning Glories I love these leaves. Spent Friday enjoying plant care and sunshine! Happy May 2013! Bought another plant on Sunday afternoon. (Golden Pothos also known as Devil's Ivy). Check out Sunbeam Squinter in the background. Haha. Our guide stopped to show us this plant and said that it was the basis for a new medicine that is used to treat cancer. As in Xunatunich, the walls were overgrown with lovely, fuzzy xanthoria . It's filled with plants and butterflies. The fronds on this palm look like the fins of a fish. I don't know what this plant is called but it's def one of my faves. I wish all my clothes looked like this. Lots of exotic, big-leafed plants! The lovely leaf of the excellently-named Monstera deliciosa ! Orange you lichen it? (Xanthoria is one of the cooler-sounding geni of plants. Sounds like a princess in a fantasy novel.) Ivy I liked on the way home.
