The end of January was the end of my 8-month contract with SinglePlatform where I was their temporary VP of Product! I attended my last weekly product meeting and felt really happy that the team had made a lot of progress understanding the business! It was my second-to-last day working with SinglePlatform and I stayed late to play in a poker tournament with my co-workers! After the meeting, there was a party with food, drinks and... ...and ConstantContact's CEO, Gail Goodman! On Monday afternoon, I got to present at SinglePlatform's company offsite. Lots of desks in the hallway = lots of new hires! Monday morning! Last half-week of work with my client before taking off the rest of the year! On my way home I stopped off at Spin NYC to watch the Singleplatform gang get WAY too serious about ping pong! Here's the very end of the Jeff G / Stanley SHOWDOWN! I love me some good whiteboarding! (This wasn't even mine, just took a pic to admire it). Fun to come back to work for my client and see things much more organized the next week! I always enjoy seeing the methods that people come up with in order to make things run more smoothly! On Tuesday morning I got to watch InRhythm come in and coach the SinglePlatform dev & product team on Agile. Thursday morning award ceremony for all the people in the company who did the most good stuff! ...for a team outing with the SinglePlatform tech & product teams. We got our frisbee on. On Tuesday I started an eight-week consulting engagement with SingplePlatform. On Tuesday I went down to SinglePlatform and admired some of the posters created to by their sales teams. "Eat your Greens for Laser Fucking Focus!" "If looks could sell." Hahaha. Later that afternoon, I went down to SinglePlatform to chat with them about a few projects that they might need some help with. I spent Tuesday afternoon sitting in on SingplePlatform's strategic planning session. Helping companies evaluate their growth and come up with clear, testable hypothesis for how use their limited resources in order to continue growing is what I specialize in!
