Thanks again so much for having me out!
snowboard
...before suiting up one last time!
snowboard
The view doesn't get old.
snowboard
On the other side, we met up with Leslie!
snowboard
(I still dream about this.)
snowboard
A little after 4pm, we took off our boards and nestled into a snowbank...
snowboard
...so that Grant could call into a radio show to chat about an opinion piece of his that had recently been published about Canadians and the Queen of England!. Hard at work on a Monday!
snowboard
Hoverboard!
snowboard
GREAT WHITE BOUNDARY.
snowboard
Thanks for having me, bud!
snowboard
Not a bad little Monday.
snowboard
...then this.
snowboard
At the peak, we made plans to meet up with Matt a little later.
snowboard
Grant did some hand walking...
snowboard
Around 1pm, we met up with Aki and some friends that were out on the mountain and got lunch
snowboard
Time to get back on...

Snowboarding down a steep incline with a foot of powder is like a barely-controlled fall through the clouds.
snowboard
So steep! Here's a picture of Grant getting ready to drop in from up above.
snowboard
Still more mountain to go! The mountain is so big and white that it can be really disorientating at times!
snowboard
The mountain is so steep that when you're facing uphill you only have to bend your knees slightly to be kneeling on the mountain!
snowboard
Awesome.
snowboard
Walking across, then up and over.
snowboard
Ready?
snowboard
Happy Snoopy back on the mountain.

Grant standing in front of a 10'+ snow drift of recent snowfall.

Not a bad view when you take a breather.

Snow claw!

Last run of the day.
snowboard
Later that afternoon it was snowing near the top of the mountain again.
snowboard
Grant leading the way through.

Riding through the trees in deep snow is sort of awesomely terrifying. You have to try to keep your speed up so you don't sink and get stuck, but you also don't want to go too fast, because, duh, trees.
snowboard
...and there was another foot or so of fresh snow!
snowboard
Grant snapped me coming out of the trees.

snowboard
The snow was so deep and drifty. If didn't keep your speed up, or dipped your nose at all...

snowboard
...you'd end up instantly stuck knee-deep. (When this happens, it usually means 10 minutes of digging yourself out and hopping over to a place where there's enough of an incline to get moving again!).

About to ride over the edge of the world! I love this photo.

Grant and me!

After eating, I stopped off to rent gear...

See you later, first snowboard and first skateboard I ever owned!
