...we went into the zoo where you use your legs. Porcupine! ...and scream when their giant purple tongues would shoot out of their faces! Haha. It was fun to watch the kids feed the giraffes... Basically just a stretchy camel. ...it was really nice to get to appreciate them up close! Giraffes are one of my favorite animals. Having mostly admired them from afar or in photos... My favorite thing there was this really high tower that you climb in order... ...to feed the giraffes! Rhinos! After we were done with the drive through part... Ostriches! ...Lion Country Safari , Florida's only drive through zoo. Saw some wildebeasts. We finished up our day at the zoo in the snake house. Green tree viper! A greater Malayan Mouse Deer! ...this guy! Living with the flamingos was... And then at 4pm we headed to the big water tank to watch the staff feed the sea lions! Sooo fun! Penguins! After the petting zoo, we ventured out and explored the rest of the zoo. Sleeping polar bears! Then we went and fed the wiry, snorty, pot-bellied pigs! (He was real camera shy and didn't like looking up). Then we fed goats! CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP! Best. Animal-Hair. Ever. "Uh, yes. Hello. Does you has more food?" "Yes? Thanks you!" NOM NOM NOM. NOM NOM NOM. Then we made our way over to the petting section of the zoo! We were just about to tease the shit out of this alpaca when we saw... Not wanting to be covered in a "foul-smelling stream " of harmless alpaca spit, we decided to feed the lil' fucker. Zoo time! Look, it's a giant, beaky bird! Then we went over to the tiger house! They were so fun to watch moseying around. Polar bears! Hahahahah! He likes it! He likes it! Look at him with a fry in his little beak! And don't pretend you disapprove! Just because he's pretty doesn't mean he's not just basically a giant, turquoise pigeon. Hahaha. Afterwards, we went into some critter-house, but it was too dark in there to take photos (and you weren't allowed to use a flash for fear that you'd sear the all the little creatures' retinas). So instead, I took this backlit photo of one of the signs on the way in. Awwww, he's so cute! That's right! Come an' get it! Errrr, ok. Or maybe it was because I was tempting him with some delicious zoo-fries! Er, I forget what this was called! But he was sorta like a giant, lumbering ant-eater type guy! Monkeys! ...the Bronx Zoo!
