I had an amazing trip!Suddenly, a city!Red-eye home.A well-timed yank on Maddy's leash is the only thing that prevented this pigeon's wiener-y death.Bingo! Airborne. See you later, lovely Caye Caulker....and landed.Fifteen minutes after taking off we circled San Pedro...The elevated vantage-point made it easy to see how the flowing water divides the land over time....and tiny islands in the water.So neat to see so much lush, uninhabited forest...Cool to watch the approach and landing from over the pilot's shoulder.Flying south along Belize's coastline. You can see the Placenia Peninsula in the background.Gorgeous jungle-river view under the wing.I love flying in little planes.Back in the air a little after 2pm, I looked out the window and noticed things were starting to look gorgeously turquoise and tropical.The smile of a man who's been in a New York winter for too long.Seatmates.
