After dinner we played more Wii Golf. (This time in matching sweaters).

Homeboy's got remote controlled black-out shades so that the Florida sun will never have to interfere with gaming or TV watching.

I rolled out of bed a little past noon and headed out to play "Christmas Golf" with my parents. Haha.
golf
Yep, this about sums it up. Haha. I can't believe I didn't even have to put on a collared shirt.
golf
Mom teeing off. My mom doesn't even really like to play golf but goes occasionally to humor my dad (and because her name's on the GOLF CART).
golf
...and I headed out with my parents to play "a few" holes. I was like "What do you mean 'a few' holes? My dad pointed out into the backyard and explained, "That's the 15th tee right there." Hahaha. So we walked right out the back door and just started playing some golf. Here's Big Bri, teeing off.

Working my irons.

Our grand tour culminated with hitting the driving range (where you can hit as many golf balls as you want and it's FREE!)
golf
My dad's brother Bruce (aka "Uncle Moose!") was there to tee off with him (Just like in real life!).
golf
A few weeks prior to my dad's birthday, I called him and asked him what he wanted for his birthday. When I'd been home for the holiday in December, I'd brought my Wii along and my loved the golf game...so he told me he wanted a Wii for his birthday! (This was back when Wiis were pretty much impossible to find, but I put a couple of extra to dollars to work on eBay and managed to get one for the birthday boy!). We set it up immediately and got our Wii golf on! Here's the birthday boy getting ready to tee off!

It's really fun, but also sorta scary to wind up and hit a golf ball at a screen that's like 4 feet in front of you.
golf
They had that golf simulator where the course is projected onto a big, plastic screen in front of you. You take a real club and real balls and hit them at the screen full force! They have sensors that detect the trajectory and speed of the ball hitting the screen and it shows you where your ball "went."
golf
...indoors!
golf
The off-site was held at the conference rooms at Chelsea Piers so after our strategy sessions were finished, we got to play golf...
golf
For the weekend, I guess I headed out to NJ to hang out with my parents in good ol' Succasunna because the next pics I have are of me out on the driving range...

She hate it!
golf
My parents recently bought a new house down in Florida that's right on a golf course and since then my dad's pulling out all the stops trying to get my mom more involved in golf.
golf
And then we rounded out the day with a nice, easy game of golf. Hahah. Thanks for coming to visit, Brett!

Dad, pictured here doin' what he calls "a little jig," shows off the "learn how to not slice when you swing" golf club we bought him.

Mom and her new putter. Look out Tiger, Mrs. Battjer's on tha up and up. (Oh, and look at the tree in the background, White Power Santa's back! But only because the lightbulb inside the light-up lawn gnome we put on the tree started to melt the plastic needles of our fake tree and it smelled like burning. A likely story Mom...or shoud I call you EVA?)
