rats + mitzi
Lovable vermin.Our pet rat Mitzi was getting old and sick and we spent a lot of time just chilling with her.Mitzi coming out to say hi. (Fatty agreed to come to our apartment and feed and water the rats while we were away. Thanks!)Look at her bright orange top teeth! So cheesy.On Saturday afternoon I watched Mitzi poke her little rat face through the hole she chewed in her hammock.On Monday we took Mitzi out of her cage to give her a bath...Verminy whiskery kisses.On Tuesday night I played with our filthy, verminy prisoners.We have pet rats. They are cuter than most people would like to admit. They enjoy lazing around on top of each other.When we got home, these little nibblors were climbing their cage with excitement. And I thought rats wouldn't be good pets! Who knew?...Lulu and Mitzi! Two MORE rats that Meredith had gotten (bringing our total rat count up to four!).Mitzi is our first brown rat. Look how cute and whiskery she is!
