I had to help Vin pick out which Dr Randy drawing had the best likeness because he had never seen Randy's face in 3D (only in photos!). He even threw in a portrait of Edie! On Saturday Vin came over with a bunch of drawings of Leigh & Randy that I had commissioned for Leigh's baby shower the next day! There's an artist to the side of the stage drawing impressions of the performers in real-time. Was designing a desk / murphy bed sideways pulldown! They have a shipping container they use to all the bikes they use to teach people to ride bikes and it's covered with great chalk drawings. Always wear your shark helmet. Spent Monday watching hours of vids on Randy Powell's Intro to Vortex Based Mathematics. Before we left, Gurj taped up one of my drawings from when we got MEGA high and I tried to explain Vortex-based Mathematics as best as I understand it. (Some real flux capacitor shit! TIME CUBE PART 2!). Traced my hands and made measurements for a jewelry-maker who I'd ordered a gem-bracelet from. In the evening I went for a walk with Maddy and hung out with my neighbors in the garden. He is getting so good! ...and we worked on editing the latest sketches from his... ...comic book about growing up in suburban CT. Vin on the wrestling team! Yes! We picked a few areas (highlighted in blue) that needed more panels. One of the first stories, M'Lady Marion, was almost finished! ...and laughing about his drawings of his 14 year-old self. Spent the morning outlining terrible things that happened to Vin in his high school years... That afternoon, Vin posted this excellent drawing of me and Eric P, based on a photo of us from September 2015 And then we went through 15 pages of new panels... ...fun to look at his pencil line drawings and work things out before he inks them! We looked through some of his old comics about dating... On Monday morning Vin came over to work on a comic book about his adolescence that we'd started working on together! Vin came over on Monday afternoon to help me... Spent the afternoon reading The Invisibles, by Grant Morrison. Recording and drawing the cards I drew in my lil journal.
