Happy December 2015! Later that night I watched the incredible and totally surreal movie My Dinner with Andre for the first time! Soooo good! After dinner, we watched HACKERS on the big screen. ..and a movie! Do you want to know more? Decided to watch the highly recommended THEY LIVE on Thursday evening. When the protagonist finds a pair of special sunglasses (HOFFMAN LENSES!) he is able to see the underlying messages embedded into our reality... When the movie ended, I looked online and learned that Roddy Piper, the film's star, had died while I was watching it. Strangely synchronistic. ...and the "people" behind the messages! I also noticed this great hidden message on one of the train cars that rolls by in the opening credits. "I missed you and at the same time I was happy." Spent the morning watching the 2001 movie version of Samuel Beckett's excellent play, Waiting for Godot. Watched Ex Machina (!!!) ...and a mewvie. ...STRONG! Pick-up game... Had a real mellow Sunday evening that included Ghostbusters II. Did you know they mention BLACK MIRROR in Spinal Tap? Watched Apocalypto. The ALL documentary is EVERYTHING! Holy shit, watching this brought back so many good memories from high school listening to ALL & Descendants (FILMAGE ) After Max went to bed, my brother and I reminisced with a screening of UHF, our favorite movie from growing up. Went to see What We Do in the Shadows at the Sunshine with Grant and Leah. Mellowed out the evening with Napoleon Dynamite on the big screen! We moved the airbed as close to the stove as we could without melting it. Five in a bed if you go sideways! On Saturday, I was up at the Turquoise Barn with a bunch of friends for the weekend. Afternoon movie time! ...Nic Cage in the utterly insane, Vampire's Kiss. If you haven't seen this film, do yourself a favor and watch it! Re-watched Election for the first time since it came out. (So good!)
