Back at the homestead, Meredith was making corn on the cob... Cheese and ranch dressing on a hamburger bun (bonus points if sandwich assembly happens on top of a day-old New York Post). Rather than waste food, Gurj and Jenny took our remaining groceries and busied themselves making some delicious HOBO SANDWICHES . We got back to the house around eight and made a light dinner from things we'd gotten at the farm earlier in the day. ...on what they promised was a breakfast feast. Gurj and Mer got were at work... Mmmmm! When I moved to New York in 1999, John was the first person I knew who'd converted a industrial space into a multi-person loft. He gave me all sorts of advice when we built out our loft space in Greenpoint in 2000! He'd since moved into a newer, bigger space and was in the process of building it out. While these guys worked on dinner... And for dessert... On Monday I came home and Meredith was making homemade empanadas. Meredith made an AMAZING mushroom risotto for dinner. Here, add spices! Later that night, Ellen came over and we had a make-your-own pizza party! For dessert?
