For Thanksgiving I headed out to my parent's house in NJ.
First thing I did upon arriving in town on Wednesday evening was pick up Kim Wilson (my senior prom date, awwww) who was in town from North Carolina and head over to a bar in town called "The Barn," which before all major holidays is the best place to find other people you went to high school with.
Sure enough, no sooner had we set foot in the place than we ran into Dave VanHandle, Adam Padfield and Paige (who's last name I forget). All RHS Alumnus!
Thursday afternoon, I hopped in the car with my parents (minus little brother Brett, who lives out in Indiana and went to his girlfriend's parent's house in Ohio for Thanksgiving) and headed to my Aunt Elaine and Uncle Wayne's house in Clark, NJ.
Then we came inside so Zoe could watch some TV. This is the best thing ever: every time a black person comes on TV, Zoe goes absolutely apeshit. She had us laughing so hard I almost pissed my pants. Seriously, she'll stand there all attentive staring at the TV for minutes on end witout so much as a itty-bitty "woof." But as soon as any black person comes on TV, she barks and barks.
My Aunt Elaine says it's because Zoe's bleeder (who still grooms her once a month) is pretty much her favorite person in the world and he's black so whenever she see's anyone black, she goes crazy. But we all suspect it's because she's a RACIST DOG!
On the way back to my parent's house, we stopped off in Mendham to visit with Gary Variale and his family. Gary owns the construction company I used to work for during all my summer breaks and is like family. Here's my two dads. Hahaha.
And then after dropping my parents off at home, I swung up to visit Scott but his two rugrats had gotten the best of him that day and he nodded off shortly after I'd gotten there. Bonus points for falling asleep with a full beer and managing not to spill any.
