Em and Lo's Book Release Party

On Monday night we headed first over to Pianos to celebrate the release of Em & Lo's newest book, Nerve's Guide to Sex Etiquette for Ladies and Gentlemen.

Former nerve editor from way back in the day (and also the guy who chicken-shitted out and left early on our tour of duty as male strippers in 2001) Jack Murnighan was there to greet me with his trademark smirk (an expression clearly perfected whilst earning a PhD in medieval literature).

Mattymatt was in the house to man the decks.

Jamie K was there to front his tough-guy side...

...before pairing up with his schmoopie to show his gentler side, with this two-person heart sign. Awww.

Philip K (aka - Pud) and his girlfriend Jillian showed up enticed by our promise of going to karaoke afterwards.
We stepped out onto Ludlow St to head over to karaoke only to witness these two yabbos kidding around by throwing each other into bags of trash.
Watching them, I couldn't help think to myself "What kind of asshole thinks diving into a pile of trash is remotely funny?"

After all of the hijinx that are invariably involved in moving a large group of drunk people ten blocks, we finally arrived at M Bar on Broome Street for a little Monday night Sid and Buddy karaoke akshun. Here's Adam Mandell kicking the night off.
And then Amanda, my new favorite flasher, showed up with the rest of the Apocolypstik crew.

Catrinel.
Angel, Alex and Liz.
Angel, one of the few girls who could give Candy a run for her money in a karaoke-off. (Which has led me to conclude that if I want to ensure my future daughter's karaoke prowess, I'm clearly going to have to name her after a stripper. Look out Candy and Angle, one of these days Trixie Battjer is going to show you both up.)
"Titty!"
jamie k
Mark clearly can't handle the forthcoming titty - while Jamie steels himself in preparation...
TITTY!
emma
She can write an entire chapter about proper ettiquette during analingus, but flash a titty and Emma Taylor'll still blush.

Lo on the other hand...she ain't got nothing but love for the titty.
Alex, Liz and Angel again. Only this time...more drunk. Oh, and speaking of drunker...
Hahah.

Hey, it's the white t-shirt club! Dan, Matt and me.

You have to be careful getting this close to Lo when she's been drinking - most of the time you'll just get your face licked, but if she's feeling vindictive, she give you a hickey that'll make it look like you survived a hanging (thanks Meredith!) before you even realize what she's up to.
tookie
Tookie and Andrew (trouble brewing here!).

The authors on the mic!
Yay literacy!

I tried to do the old "get a load of this passed-out drunk" photo with Amanda, but she was just conscious enough to figure out what I was up to and milliseconds after this pic was snapped, she managed to yank my head back. Hahah. Ow.
me
But that's ok, I think this photo pretty much says the same thing anyway..
TITTY!
Always looking to help her friends' band out, Amanda made sure to don the Apocalypstik titty stickers once before the night ended!
Look it's Nelly's little brother, Jin! You know! Jin! He's the one who had his hands burned in a terrible bus accident as a kid and now only goes out in public when he's wearing his turtle fur gloves. (Ok, he's not really Nelly's little brother - and I don't know about the bus accident. His name is Jin though. Peep his bejeweled belt buckle. Oh, and those gloves? So turtle fur.)

Hahaha. Congrats on the book, lizzadies!
