Around 2am we all went around the corner to see the apartment that Karen had just bought! Here she is showing off the "fish tank in the fireplace" in her new building's lobby!
Later that night I went over to the Blue Owl to wish Karen M. a happy birthday! Here's the birthday girl with Karen L. and Dens. (Dennis had just recently left Google and was saying goodbye to his old ID badge).
And I ran into Karen Marsala who I hadn't seen in forever! Here she is showing me that she can indeed touch the top of her lip to the bottom of her nose.
Here's a pic (stolen from Dens!) of us on the coaster! This was the ride where Dennis discovered he wasn't a huge fan of roller coasters! (The three of us all have our arms in the air and he's holding on for dear life).
I have absolutely no recollection of where Vin and I went (and I don't recognize the place in the background) but apparently it was somewhere where in ran into sexy-ass Karen Marsala. I'm usually pretty good about remembering everything that happened on a certain night - maybe I should stop waiting more than seven months before I try to caption these, eh?
I ran into the lovely K.Marsala yet again. I explained to her that the open bar coming to an end wasn't necessarily a bad thing. It was just simply a matter of...
After our dip (ahhhh, refreshing) we decided to walk over to the main stage and see if we could catch Hot, Hot Heat. As we neared the side entrance, it was immediately apparent that unless we felt like fighting our way through a mass of sweaty-bodied hipsters, we were not going to get anywhere near the stage. But, on the good side, we randomly ran into Karen Marsala, Natasha and Karen Landes! Woooo! A few minutes later, we headed over to the 2nd stage and caught the end of Ted Leo's set, and then we headed back to Manhattan.
And here's me and the birthday girl! Right after I took this picture - the batteries in my new camera crapped out (don't worry, I've since bought the longer lasting kind). I'm gonna be posting more pics here soon from other peoples' cams (but in the meantime you can just check out the pics from Karen's birthday last year.)
The "wank" factor was getting to be a little much over at Abaya so we crossed the street south and headed over to Baramundi (where the wank-factor was just plain off the charts).
This is Abaya. Even with our friend Matty spinning records there, two cute girls accompanying us, and the promise of free booze inside, I still had to practically drag Josh kicking and screaming through the door.
