These big trucks were all over the place hauling sand.Better luck next cove.Strong onshore.In the midst of the all the chaos, nice to see people still surfing.Excellent day at the beach. After we'd gotten our fill of swimming...Hans' brother Ulie was in town from Germany and wanted to see Rockaway Beach.Before we had to the airport, I hit the beach to try to get some of the pre-Hurricane Irene waves that were starting to roll in.Not too shabby.On Sunday, Catrinel's friends came out to surf!We hit the beach early on Saturday.Quiet lineup!...we hit the beach for a bit! (Not much going on)....but they're ridable if you've got enough board under you!The waves aren't big...
