Grant's birthday was on a Monday so the original plan was to head over to Arlene's Grocery for some heavy metal/punk rock karaoke...but last minute we found out that instead of heavy metal/punk rock, they were siging cheesy 70's love ballads instead...a dismayed Grant cancelled his own gathering last minute. In an attempt to surprise him, Tookie and I figured it would be fun to throw him a surprise party later on that week....but then Tookie forgot it was a surprise and aksed him about it. Bah!
Anyway, here are some pics of both nights...Grant's actual birthday on Monday and then the (Not Really A Surprise At All) Surprise Party on Friday.
Monday, November 4th
For Grant's actual birthday, we met Arianna and Sarah at Max Fish's and then headed over to Lit.
At some point in the evening, we decided it would be funny for Grant to fall off his chair repeatedly and take pictures of it. (I don't know either...it sounded fun at the time, okay?). Here's the best of the lot.
On Friday, a bunch of us got together at Joey's and had a surprise party for Grant (except like I explained earlier, he already knew about it). So here's everyone pretending to surprise Grant....
And here's Isabella "Tookie" Robertson, the woman who came up for the idea for the surprise party, and who also ruined the surprise by inviting Grant to his own surprise party. HAHAHA!
After leaving Joey's, Grant and I were walking over to visit our friend Matty (who was DJing at a nearby club) and in transit, ran into Tiffany and Sarah on the street. (Who represent Arizona we-own-boots pride in this pic.).
