Memorial Day Out in NJ

For Memorial Day Grant, Fatty and I decided to get out of the city and head down to John and Lori Craven's beach house in Asbury Park, NJ. (Who you may remember from this most bestest entry from last year).

Right after I arrived at John and Lori's, my Uncle Walt and Aunt Ann (who live ten minutes from Asbury) were kind enough to pick me up to head down to Medford, NJ to go to my cousin Steve's graduation party. (He just finished up at Virginia Tech.)

After Steve's party, I hopped a ride back to Asbury with Ann & Walt and headed back to John and Lori's. Here's Lori with the lovely Jolie.

John and Lori were planning on having a ton of people down for the weekend (John made it a point to call us and tell us that his house was going to have Sorrority Girls, Stewardesses and even a Stripper! The "S" Trifecta!). But due to the ultra cuh-rappy weather, most of the people that were supposed to come bagged on it last minute. So instead we kicked back and relaxed while...

Joanna, Grant's former Nerve intern (and founder of BurningAngel) came down to hang out. She recently started dancing at a Jersey noodie club and is making so much money that after three weeks she was able to buy a new car (which she paid for with a garbage full of money that she brought with her to the dealership). You probably won't realize that I'm not kidding until you see me in three weeks after I'm back from my breast augmentation surgery.

Later Saturday night we all headed over to "Jimi" (which, by the way, is the stupidest name for a bar ever), right next to the Stony Pony, to grab a drink or two before last call.

Right when we walked into Jimi, I heard someone yell my name. I was like, I'm in fucking Asbury Park, NJ...who the fuck knows my name? I turn around to see Max, Chris Silk and Christina Alessi, three people I went to high school with. Apparently, Ween was playing a show at the Stone Pony the next night and they were staying at a hotel around the corner with a bunch of people. Randomness.

This is the best photo ever. It might take you a sec to realize what's going on here, but go ahead and give it a good look. We got back from the bar and found Glen and Zabrina asleep on the couch. Thinking back to last year we immediately knew what had to be done. We were struggling so hard to keep from laughing (note Grant covering his mouth), but right as the camera went off, a giggle escaped from Grant and Glen opened his eyes. Hahahaha.

Sunday morning we got up and headed over to Frank's for brunch.

See that lady in the background? She wanted more coffee - but instead of calling the waitress over, she held up her coffee cup in the air with her arm fully extended for like an entire minute. I fumbled to get the camera out, but by the time I managed to turn the flash off and snap a pic, the waitress had arrived to take care of her.
