Central Park had a lot of soothing plants and nature, so coming out onto the square lines and concrete of Fifth Avenue on a Saturday evening was a little terrifying.
I was sitting on the blanket, and a giant bug fell out of the tree above me and landed right in front of me. He doesn't look all that terrifying / interesting from this angle...
All told, like 15 people ended up coming. It was the most fun I've had in a while (despite how much it hurts to catch frisbees with freezing cold hands).
Later that night I got a call from Jeff Scott. The toy fair had ended and he and a bunch of friends were headed over to the big field in Central Park with a big box filled with light-up FlashFlight frisbees!
The day was perfect. We pretty much just sat around stuffing our faces with snacks and enjoying the sun and occasionally stopping to mock people near us. Like the girl in the background that decided to use her boyfriend as a bench. WTF?
Meredith (the pirate). Shortly after this photo was taken, everyone left except for the Fatty and I. We ended up staying in the park and playing ultimate frisbee with a bunch of high school kids for over 3 hours. (Which resulted in my being more sore than I've ever been in my life. I could barely walk for the next three days).
