Cake feeding!
wedding
Cutting the wedding cake (again!).
wedding
On Saturday Meredith and I went out to a restaurant in NJ to celebrate my grandparent's 60th Wedding Anniversary! Here they are renewing their vows!
wedding
The next morning we hit the "post-wedding" breakfast, congratulated Emma and Rob (note the rhinestone-studded "Mrs. Tourtelot" shirt. Ha!)...
wedding
After the ballroom closed, the entire party headed down to a bar in the basement of the hotel. Here's everyone drunkenly welcoming the second arrival of the bride and groom!
wedding
Everyone formed two lines, held hands...
wedding
...and made a tunnel for Emma and Rob to walk through! Hahaha.
wedding
The bridal party lined up...
wedding
...and Rob took to the mic to serenade his new wife!
wedding
Jack Wright and his date!
wedding
After the cake, the entire party hit the dance floor.
wedding
Although Meredith wasn't feeling well (having most likely picked up any number of airborne illnesses on her eight-hour Greyhound bus ride), she wisely managed to hold out for some cake! As soon as she'd finished her slice, she announced her retirement and headed up to the room.
wedding
Hahaha.
wedding
They did it by the book.
wedding
No cake-smashing antics here!
wedding
Emma and Rob cutting the cake!
wedding
Then some dancing broke out.
wedding
Congrats, you two!
wedding
Awwww.
wedding
...had their first dance as hubby and wife!
wedding
I don't remember his name, but this guy is a famous song writer who sang while Rob and Emma...
wedding
Father of the Bride speech!
wedding
Standing ovation!
wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Rob Tourtelot!
wedding
6pm = reception time! Check out the amazing ballroom at the hotel!
wedding
The ceremony!
wedding
Right around four, Emma rolled up in a fancy car! Here's she is being walked down the sandy aisle by her father!
wedding
I shot too early (story of my life), and managed to capture the bouquet way up in the air by the chandelier, but not the actual catching of the bouquet. Bah!
wedding
Throw!
wedding
Here's Anna getting ready to throw the bridal bouquet!
wedding
Gene, Gene, Dancing Machine!
wedding
The crowd wasn't having that and they pushed him back out there to cut some more rug! Look! There's Anna (the bride!) on the left! (Glad to see I at least managed to get a few pics of at least one of the two people who just got married!)
wedding
Check out this action shot I managed to get of Gene (the father of the bride) as he totally got busted for trying to sneak off the dance floor!
wedding
Woooo, party!
wedding
I guess I didn't take any pictures during dinner - so let's jump ahead an hour to the dancing!
wedding
And take two! Hahahah. I love how in this 2nd photo it almost looks like they're both just kneeling on the floor.
wedding
They hotel closed down the reception room at 1am and I'm happy to announce that Meredith and I were among the very last guests. Here's Meredith and Tara jumping for joy on the dance floor at the end of the night. Take one!
wedding
Awwwww! I love this pic!
wedding
More action photos of the bride and groom dancing!
wedding
...one of the groomsmen who busted out THE WORM! That's my kind of dude.
wedding
I love this photo of Tara and Greg laughing about...
wedding
Greg and his groomsmen.
wedding
Congrats, Greg and Tara! Thanks for inviting us to the wedding! Here's wishing you wonderful and happy life together! (Now come visit us in New York!).
wedding
"I did NOT smash the cake into your face! I gently smooshed it! Yes, there is a difference!"
wedding
Couples Only! Tara and Greg danced while...
wedding
Tara and her dad!
wedding
And one of the girls that wasn't a bridesmaid caught it! Scandalous!
wedding
...and threw it to the ladies!
wedding
Then Tara took her bridal bouquet...
wedding
Hahahaha.
wedding
Awwwww.
wedding
Including the tiniest flower girl (Greg's neice) who wanted to dance with only him!
wedding
When I was dancing with Tara, Meredith snagged my camera off the table and managed to get one nice photo of the two of us before we noticed her and...
wedding
...and threw it to the fellas!
wedding
Then Greg took off Tara's garter...
wedding
After the cake-smashing was over, Tara's dad Mike gave a speech. Beyond all the usual wonderful, heartwarming things that a father would normally say on his daughter's wedding day, Mike also managed to include a story about how back when he and Donna were first married, they had a cat that Mike named Poontang. Donna didn't learn that the cat was named after a slang word for vagina until one day when it got loose and she ran all over the neighborhood calling out "Pooon-tang! Pooooon-tang!" and some of the neighbor's kindly filled her in. Whooopsie! It was a really funny story made even funnier by the fact that he was telling it AT A WEDDING! Hahahaha.
wedding
Tara and Greg's first dance.
wedding
This was, by far and away, the best cake-smashing I'd ever seen at a wedding! Bravo, you two!
wedding
...she went in with a VENGEANCE! Hahahaha. This photo makes me LOL every time I look at it.
wedding
Tara ended up with just a tiny bit of frosting on her nose and lips. However, when it was Tara's turn to feed Greg his cake...
wedding
...some cake smashed into some faces. Greg didn't smash the cake so much as he lovingly smooshed it.
wedding
Sometimes when you go to a wedding, you're not sure if the bride and groom are going to feed each other the cake nicely, or whether they're going to smash it into each other's faces. In Tara and Greg's case, I had no doubt in my mind that there was going to be...
wedding
Then it was time for cake! Greg is a big football fan, so in addition to a regular wedding cake, they also had a Pittsburgh Steelers cake! Hahah.
wedding
Congrats, Tara & Greg!
wedding
After the dress was fixed, the crowd was introduced to Mr. and Mrs. Greg Feeney!
wedding
Then the reception hall opened and I got to take my first official picture with the brand new Mrs. Feeney!
wedding
And then I snapped this awesome photo of Tara's mom (who still totally reads this site...Hi, Donna!) fixing Tara's dress.
wedding
Awwwwww! I didn't take any other pics of the actual ceremony because the room was really big and we were all the way in the back! (But don't worry, I more than made up for it during the reception).
wedding
Then it was time for the Father of the Bride to walk Tara down the aisle!
wedding
Look at how cute this little niblet is!
wedding
Emily was followed by a bunch of teeny tiny flower girls!
wedding
Then, we took our seats and it was time for the wedding to start! Here's Emily, Tara's Maid of Honor, kicking off the BRIDAL PROCESSION, y'all!
wedding
Champagne time!
wedding
Chocolatastic.
wedding
Then it was time for wedding cake!
wedding
...into the crowd!
wedding
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Coats!
wedding
You may now kiss the bride!
wedding
And here comes the part everyone's been waiting for (Matt's so excited he can barely contain himself)...
wedding
Then Kate threw her bouquet...
wedding
Do you? Yes!
wedding
I love both of their expressions in this photo! Do you? Yes!
wedding
The rings!
wedding
Awwwwww!
wedding
....Matt would be singing a karaoke song to his bride-to-be!
wedding
Before Chris began the actual ceremony, he announced that...
wedding
Matt and Kate: The beaming bride-and-groom-to-be!
wedding
Here's Chris welcoming everyone to the ceremony...
wedding
...towards that MARRYOKE stage!
wedding
Pianos is pretty crowded on a Friday night, but right around 2am, they cleared out the big room where bands usually play (Wedding Guests Only)! Here's the father of the bride walking Kate down the aisle...
