Antony totally forgot that if you're djing at the Bowery you shouldn't wear bright blue because you end up looking like a floating head. Posh and Jackson (sounds like a crime-fighting super-duo!) Karen, Lawrence and Michael were all still there! 4th of July party in the dj booth! Hahaha. We got to Hanger Bar and it was practically empty. Which meant that Sarah and Karen were extra excited when we showed up with a whole crew. Lisa, me and Zoe. (PS - Check out my sassy tennis mom hair!) (PPS - Sorry, Mom!). It's after 4am at this point, and in the midst of Leigh and Sarah getting ready to pack up their stuff, Jenny ran into the dj booth and started busting out her cans again! Ok, now back to the dance party! A couple minutes later we're up six people (seven if you count THE LURKER in the corner). Check out Jenny Penny popping out a, uhhh, valentine for Marisa. (And is that Paul Hanley in the hoodie?) Ok, now this photo is taken about 30 minutes later. The number of people behind the decks has gone from two to four. Turn it up, you little knob-twister! And Meredith! Five! ...a dance-party explosion! The source? Look directly under the disco ball and peep DJ Matty Matt on the decks in the other room! Hahaha! I love this photo. Instant party. ....because Sarah and Karen were DJing (some afterparty?). The be-masked Italians DJ duo, The Bloody Beetroots were there. Their set was good, but neither Posh nor I knew a single person in the entire place and it made us feel capital "O" OLD. ...THIS little niblet was DJing! Sometimes it can be a little nerve-wracking to try to mix your social-friends with your work-friends... After we finished making a mess all over the sidewalk, we went back inside and played songs for nobody but ourselves the rest of the night. Good. Times. Fast forward a couple of weeks and it's Saturday night and I'm back at Hanger Bar. Hahaha. I love this photo of Karen so much. Mandy was DJ and Brother Lawrence and Michael were both there! Late Friday night I walked down to Hanger Bar to catch the exciting tail end of the Stolen Transmission party! Karen was on the decks tearing it up!
