Doug found some wild berries for us to eat. Tree hugging buds. We stopped deep in the woods and communed with some trees. ...meet Doug at his apartment. Doug teaches English in Finland and one of his students is Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche , a lineage holder in the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. Thanks for having us and showing us around! He walked us to our cars and said farewell! He was supposed to attend Doug & Anni's wedding, but was in the middle of leading a 40-day retreat for a group of his students. He was sad he couldn't attend, so he invited us to come visit him... Weird 9pm! We decided to walk from the hotel through the wooded path to the subway. We left the studio at 11pm at night - so confusing for it to still be daylight outside! ...meet up with Doug and Matthew... ...and they headed off to the Honeymoon Suite! Everyone said goodbye to Doug & Anni.... By the time we'd gotten back to Helsinki, twenty minutes later, it had finally gotten dark. Newlyweds! <3 Perfect timing for the ferry ride back to Helsinki. Doug adn Anni thanked everyone for coming! Then everyone else got in on the action. First dance! Doug read some poetry... Getting ready to cut the cake! Doug's friend from Boston also made the mega journey out for the wedding and was wearing a rad suit. Lol. This bastard. All growsed up. Doug's father got to attend via video conference and they had him up on the big screen for all of the toasts! Congrats Mr & Mrs Toth! <3 Photo board! The groom on the morning of his wedding! ...and we stayed up SUPER late talking and drinking whiskey and coffee. Tuomo cooked us an amazing dinner... ...and met up with his friend's Tuomo and Matt! After unpacking and resting up a bit, I took the train out to Doug's neighborhood...
