On Thursday evening I went over to Meredith's for a stay-in-town hide-from-your-family Thanksgiving! Saturday afternoon kitchen prep! So thankful for these two for COMING TO OUR RESCUE! Meredith cooking up a Monday evening feast for me and Ellen! Mer & Quinn talking everyone through... ...Meredith was dehydrating carrots! Quinn had set up a bunch of portable burners so there were lots of pots in action. Homemade granola! Mer showing off a freshly-baked cherry pie! Back at the homestead, Meredith was making corn on the cob... ...on what they promised was a breakfast feast. Gurj and Mer got were at work... When I moved to New York in 1999, John was the first person I knew who'd converted a industrial space into a multi-person loft. He gave me all sorts of advice when we built out our loft space in Greenpoint in 2000! He'd since moved into a newer, bigger space and was in the process of building it out. While these guys worked on dinner... On Monday I came home and Meredith was making homemade empanadas. Meredith made an AMAZING mushroom risotto for dinner. Here, add spices! For dessert? Ooops! Guess I forgot to include these with April. On the last night of April, Meredith made homemade falafel! It's 12:08am! Happy Birthday, lady! ...cooking me dinner in her bra and paaaaaaaanties! Hahaha.
