The February Roundup

This is a pretty meager entry (only 34 photos!). By the time February rolls around, I'm usually in the midst of a crippling, where's-the-goddamned-sun, depression and as a result, didn't end up taking out my camera all that much. (On top of that, I was laid up in bed sick for almost a week towards the end of the month). Winter ennui and sickness aside, here are the few pics I took back in February of 2007!

Friday, February 9th

How about we kick this entry off with some rat-action? At this point, we'd had Ratso and Roxie for about three months and they had gotten used to us. Every time I'd come home to the apartment, the two of them would wake up, run across the cage and climb up into the nearest corner to say hi.

Check out how they're totally squishing each other while competing for the best "Hi, I'm here!" position.

Saturday, February 10th

On Saturday I posted an ad on Craigslist about giving away this 14" TV / VHS combo that we weren't using anymore. I got over 40 emails about it in the first hour of posting! Insanity.

meredith — Then we spent the rest of the day drawing moustaches on Scotch tape and putting them on our lips. Hahaha. Take that, winter blues!

Sunday, February 11th

vin — On Sunday Vin came over to play Wii. Check out his Mii! (And check out his awesome beard that he was growing in honor of Bearduary!)

Wednesday, February 14th

Meredith got me this frog-tastic, edible Valentine's Day card so I'd know that she was...

...Toadally (ha!) mine. (And hey, Gummy Bug inside!)

On my way home from work on Friday, I stopped at Patagonia and picked up this totally awesome winter coat, because Big Blue (the winter jacket that was a hand-me-down from my dad that he bought in 1970!) just wasn't keeping me warm anymore. Goodbye, Big Blue. Hello, Bigger and Bluer!

Saturday, February 17th

On Saturday night I went to a bar that's literally located across the street from my apartment to see unique musical stylings of Calisha Jenkins and Fabrisha Dankins, who are otherwise...

...known as Drunky Brewster! They did not disappoint!

david k — On Saturday night, Meredith and I went to Inoteca to celebrate David Kreitman's birthday. (The big 4-0, if you can believe it!)

Tuesday, February 20th

jackson — On Tuesday night, Jackson and I went over to Leigh's to play some Wii bowling.

leigh — I'd been playing a lot of Wii bowling at home and figure I'd totally dominate, but it turns out that Leigh and Jackson were even more obsessed than I was and I totally got my ass handed to me.

jackson, leigh, me — Leigh even ended up dominating the "Power" game where you use the ball to knock down progressively larger pin-formations! 567 to 396? Bah!

Wednesday, February 21st

tara — On Wednesday Tara came into town to visit again! Yay! Meredith and I took her out to a "Yay, you're here!" celebratory dinner at Pukk!

leigh, max m, meredith, tara — After dinner, the three us went around the corner to meet up with Leigh and Max! (The next morning I woke up with the flu and was in bed for the rest of Tara's visit! Boooo!) Sorry, I missed you, lady! Come out here again soon!

erica b, me — Early in the month I had found out that Erica Bryndza (who I went to high school with) worked right down the street from me in Soho! So on Wednesday we met up for lunch! It was the first time I'd seen her in like 10 years! Crazy!

Love the 'We got schweaty'-picture – one of the nicest Brian&Meredith action-pictures (besides B5FT7456.jpg and a few others;).
So great to see you and your friends and family every once in a while, when I think of surfing in your direction. You seem to be very nice people alltogether. And who doesn't have a crush on Leigh and Mer by now*sigh* ?
I'm really looking forward to seeing the wedding/honeymoon pictures again since they´re not online anymore.

Watching all of the coverage of the approaching hurricane, I was thinking about my sis (a prospect heights resident) and you an Mer. Hope it doesn't get as bad as the media says it will, but if it does, I hope you still have your stash of survival supplies. Congrats on dos anos, amigo!

thank you for "keeping a diary" i googled nasal staph infection in hopes of finding out was is wrong with my left nostril. your pics look very similar to my face. ive made an appointment to get some ointment..
