6:48am. Excited about the trip! I bought this book 4 days prior (which was also the same day I impulse decided to go to Egypt). My plan was to fly into Cairo and find a hotel for the night...then figure out the rest while I was there. (Also known as not really having much of a plan).
On Monday Sarah and I got together to celebrate the fact that she'd just received the first galley copy of her second book, Pocket Karaoke. Congrats, Sar! I'm so proud of you!
A little before 7pm, we decided to head back to our guest house and relax for a bit. Here's me trying to figure out where the heck we are on the map and how to get back to our room!
After four hours of walking around, we'd only managed to see a little more than half the exhibits, but we were getting hungry and were starting to feel "museum-ed out." So I busted out my guidebook to see what vegetarian restaurants were nearby.
Champagne makes me both sleepy AND cranky. Fast forward to this awesome photo Meredith took of me trying to read-away my wine hangover. (I highly recommend the book I'm reading: The Paradox of Choice by Barry Schwarz
Later that night, Meredith came over with good news and bad news. The good news was she was finally ready to get back together. The bad news was that she wanted me to read the book Men Are Mars, Women Are from Venus. (Which, and I never thought in a million years that I'd actually say this, I learned a lot from and actually totally changed our relationship for the better!)
