On Thursday night, I met up wtih Lisa (who looks like she was channeling Stevie Nicks during her "Indigenous Peoples of New Mexico" phase) and we kicked some late night karaoke jams at Winnie's.
After the big show, we all headed over to Winnie's in Chinatown (Hey, remember when Lo had her bday party here?) and sang some seriously ghetto-ass karaoke.
If you've ever had the pleasure of meeting Michael Martin, you might think he was a shy guy - and totally not the type to show up outta nowhere, grab the mic, and represent with a heart-wrenching rendition of the Cars' classic 80's rock ballad, Drive.
Grant was getting antsy singing in English, so we made friends with a Chinatown local who brought Grant up on stage to sing a Mandarin tune called "Crystal." Check out the guy's expression as we listens to Grant pretend to sing in Chinese.
When Grant ran into a little trouble singing George Michael's "Kissing a Fool," Michael ran up to the stage to lend support with this "lone lighter" salute.
Lo and I warmed things up with a not-so-great rendition of the '91 Spin Doctor's jam "Two Princes." (Yo, you might think this song is easy - but don't forget, there's like 2 minutes of hippyesque scatting at the end. Ugh).
