There were rumors that David Gilmore was going to turn up and play a show, but he didn't show up at ours. Slots would open up in the wall revealing little mini sets that Roger would sing in. Wonderful. And a huge wall that they built up brick by brick. As the show progressed, the wall got larger and turned into a giant back-drop projection screen. The production was incredible. Complete with thirty-foot tall marionettes! I was a HUGE Pink Floyd and Roger Waters fan when I was younger and this was the first time I ever got to see him in concert. ...to see Roger Waters perform The Wall. While I was sitting there, two guys showed up with upright basses and started playing together. They were both using bows and making haunting, mournful, beautiful sounds and a man wandered over holding his newborn son and was holding him up into the sound. All while reading a book about learning to let go and get lost in life moment to moment. Call it the reason I live here. After dinner, we went to see a band play... They were pretty rad. ...to see our friend Marion's band, Sadhu Sadhu . Bonus points for playing the electric guitar with a bow. ...to a venue called Zebulon... I don't think the weekend could've ended any better! Good seats, no zoom. Faith No More is one of my favorite bands of all time. I was so excited to hear them play! On Monday night I went to the Bowery Poetry Club to see Brandon play a quick acoustic set! ...and Seth took over lead vocals. Go! Jaden rocked it! I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure it was a Foo Fighters song. On Thursday night I went to Webster Hall to see Inner Party System Awesome light show. They were great. On Monday night I was walking back to the apartment and I heard a band wailing inside of Banjo Jim's so I went inside to check them out.
