my 26th birthday party!

To celebrate my 26th bday I put the word on the wire: big party at my new digs. Not wanting to be Vanity Smurf, I billed the party as a "Birthday / Housewarming /It's-Summertime-And-Really-Nice Out" Party (the latter category was so that people that hate me could still attend and not feel like they were selling out. Noice, right?).

To make things even better, a week before the party Grant Stoddard found out that his visa to stay in the US was approved which gave us one more thing to celebrate (Grant not getting his Limey-ass deported). As always, hilarity ensued.

grant — U-S-A! U-S-A! Grant salutes in front of the light-up flag we scored at K-mart for $12 in honor of his visa coming through.

dave g, josh, tyler, vin — Josh, Dave, Vin & Tyler all showed up nice and early to get this party started right (and quickly).

becky, emma, hannah — Hannah, Becky and Emma = All three Taylor sisters!

grant — Just in case there were any lingering doubts about Grant's sexuality, they were finally dispelled with this dandy pair of striped socks. Jesus.

Around 11:30 the party started warming up...

amy a, chris hanigan, mandy m — Amy, Mandy and Chris (the future Mr. & Mrs. Chris Hanigan). Fack.

me, sarah l — Sarah gets mad props for being the only person to bring me a non-alcoholic gift. (A sweet-ass pair of Pumas).

josh, rachel, sarah l, vin — Sarah, Rachel (Sarah's new roommate), Josh and Vinay.

amanda, debbie, me, melissa burns — Amanda, Melissa (who in case you didn't know happens to be one of the "Queens of Brooklyn Electroclash" hahaha), Debbie T and me.

april, deb au-yeung — Deb and April left my party early which would've been lame if they weren't leaving early to have totally fucking hot lesbian sex. Seriously.

karen landes — Karen Landes with "3 POUNDS!!!" of pretzels - which believe it or not somehow got finished before the end of the night.

josh, karen marsala, me — K. Marsala and Josh show some o' that winning ivory.

dave g, karen landes — Dave G ("The Ladies Choice") warms it up with K. Landes.

The electric, light-up bulb flag was nice, but it just wasn't enough. So at some point in the night I dragged out the 4ft. sparklers that we bought on our recent NH Vacation.

See? That's much better. (BTW, who are these guys?)

grant — And part of Grant busted off the roof onto my neighbor's patio below. Doh!

amanda, grant — This is the 2nd best pic of the night. Vin & Josh blow up Grant's spot ("Who does that guy think he is back there?") as he tries to kick it to Amanda in the background. HAHAHA!
