DIY
Tada!
DIY
...installing a few bolt-lock on the cabin front door.
DIY
...and put it into a vial with a 100 drops of vodka to make it easier to microdose. (10 drops = 1/10th of a dose!).
DIY
Before hitting the road, I helped my brother...
DIY
Helped my brother break up this desk that was too big to move out of the room and had locking hardware so we couldn't take it apart.
DIY
NO CASH! punk show bands always have the best names.
DIY
On Tuesday morning my GenieBidet toilet seat arrive. Yo, real talk: this is the most game-changing, life-improving $110 dollars I've ever spent in my life. This cannot be understated. The fact that most people go through their lives making shitting a "dry experience" is absolutely insane once you "take the plunge." Seriously, go on amazon right now and buy this. Yeah, sure installing it might take you out of your comfort zone, but both you (and your asshole) will thank you.

When you don't have a toaster, you gotta pan-fry your breads.
DIY
Gave myself a bit of a home haircut! Haha.
DIY
...and installed a new shelf / coat-hook combo next to my front door. So much extra storage. Hooray!
DIY
......and speaking of DIY, check out this...
DIY
...pipe-reinforced full-cab pickup in the hood!
DIY
My neighbor is a poet who puts together readings and makes these awesome homemade flyers for them!
DIY
...so I had to get crafty with a Coke can.
DIY
All done! Looks so much nicer!
DIY
In-progress.
DIY
Kitchen sink before.
DIY
...with some neato contact-paper I'd purchased.
DIY
Later that afternoon, I decided to spruce up my kitchen...
DIY
Installed a new Brita filter that attaches to the sink. (Results, eh - it's ok).
DIY
...and the air in my apartment remained nosebleedingly arid.
DIY
...but I'd really only succeed at making the bowl dirty in a unique way...
DIY
The next morning I awoke to discover that the water had evaporated from the dish I'd place out...
DIY
...I tried to put off buying a real humidifier by placing this metal tray filled with water on top of the radiator.
DIY
Radiator heat really dries out the humidity in the air...
DIY
Later, I got into one of the more-advanced Arduino projects that uses light-sensors with different colored-light filters.
DIY
First you've got to go through the hardware and find all the correct pieces for the project you want...
DIY
...it really is just like really complicated Legos.
DIY
Stayed up late into the night trying out the different projects in the Arduino book...
DIY
Wiring up three different LED lights...
DIY
...then you spend time wiring them into the "bread board." (Let's you easily build a circuit by just plugging them into the board without having to solder all the connections.)
DIY
With the circuit built and the code uploaded, it's time to TEST THE BUILD!
DIY
...and two different buttons.
DIY
Push a button and the red light ALSO lights up. GREAT SUCCESS! (This is basically the HELLO, WORLD of hardware).
DIY
After finishing the hardware portion, you open the Arduino code editor and write code that you can upload to the computer-controller.
DIY
Arduino is like computer legos. You can add electrical components to a circuit-board that is controlled by a microprocessor you can easily write code for!
DIY
Got my Arduino starter kit in the mail on Wednesday.
DIY
So exciting to be able to get my whole body wet in the shower without having to dance around in a circle. Thumbs up for THUNDERHEAD!
DIY
On Wednesday afternoon, my brand new showerhead arrived!
DIY
Came home and warmed up with some soup. I don't own an oven mit, but I do own ski gloves!
DIY
Two planks cut and sanded, need to get another piece of wood to finish it up!
DIY
I like the actual building part, it's all the prep work that I hate.
DIY
I took the old one apart and dicked around with the insides for an hour or so and then lost interest and put it aside. You know, for later.
DIY
TA-DA!
DIY
...and convert a big file drawer that I have into a ROLLING file drawer.
DIY
...so I geeked out and spent the evening rooting my G1 and installing Cyanogen Mod 4.2 (allowing me to run the latest version of Android on old hardware). Wooo!
DIY
Check out the custom decoration job! We didn't have any decorative icing, so Sarah and Leigh improvised. They covered the cake in ton of sprinkles and then used brownie crumbs to spell out D-A-N. Hahaha.
