showing 2013 only · show all yearsAll three!On the very first morning of 2014, Piper & Edie helped keep Ellen cozy while she waited for...Mer came over to my place a little after 9pm, and we walked with the dogs over to the West Village...Biggy and Maddy also got to spend some quality time together.Smash them all together! Dog pile!...with my terrifying pack of Halloween Hell Hounds!Dachshund infestation!While walking through the park, Maddy got her head stuck in this box while trying to catch a squirrel!On the walk home, Maddy ran into her doppleganger (dapple-ganger?), Esther! You guys look like ME! They are always so excited to see each other!Squad.Bunk buddies.Sleeping between feet!...put this little dingle in the car......snuggled up.Walking the ladies.Woke up Tuesday morning to find these two rough-housing on the couch and making weird goose-honking noises at each other....and then she pulls her head out and attacks Edie! Repeat times one-hundred. Maddy likes to play this game where she buries her head under a blanket (she can't see anything so she thinks she's invisible?)...Finished up early enough to take a late-afternoon nap with these two bozos.Bookends.Later that evening, Edie came over to stay for a bit.Follows the afternoon sun as it moves across the couch.Sun is slowly melting my tiny dog brain.One of my favorite things is watching Maddy settle down into a sunbeam, all squinty-eyed......and then watch her try her hardest to stay awake.What wants? Is sleepy!Huh?Maddy lazily half-burroughed under blanket after her morning walk. Where is the face?Yes, hello. Who lives here?Pigeon fly away.Maddy has a very specific dirty look she gives me when she's ready for a walk....with this squidgel.What a hunch-whistle!...."Ok, I'm ready for you to pet me now."...and then fall onto her side. This is her way of saying...So hard to know it and not smash it with love.Awww, this little cuddle bear. When you walk into a room and pay attention to Maddy, she'll look at you.....a little speckled wiener dog who wasn't entirely sure if she was ready to forgive me for leaving. "IS BACK NOW?"
