On Friday I met up with Meredith and her new guy, Dylan and we made our way out to Montauk! Here's a little NYC realness to stand in stark contrast to the rest of the photos you'll see. I can see my house from here. ...and then headed on to JFK... ...dropped her off with Leigh and Randy... On my way to LGA. On Saturday Maddy and I went uptown... Cab ride home with Amanda. This! I'll bet male-attendance at this church has dramatically increased since the jerk BBQ restaurant opened next door. Hardly any traffic on a Wednesday. Took the backroads home. Perfect day for a drive. Hard to tell from this photo, but in-person you can see the Manhattan skyline from Rockaway. By the early afternoon, we were back in NYC and crossing over the bridge on our way over to Caiti's apartment to pick up Maddy ! Sunset. Sunday bus ride home. What a fantastic month. Happy July 2011! ...then pink & purples! Nature's fireworks proceeded the man-made stuff. ...so colorful! Tangerine... Brooklyn. It drizzled rain for a bit... Happy 4th of July! We made it home a little after two. I took a shower and a quick nap and then... IAC Headquarters in the distance. Spring. In a cab headed home at 6:30am! I dropped off my bag, took an hour nap and hot shower and then went to work! On Monday morning I was up early to fly to Charlotte, NC for work. There was a beautiful sky behind Brooklyn when I was crossing over the East River. Driving downtown. Nothing beats that first day in spring when you can drive around with the windows down. This photo is pretty representative of my vision at the time. I can see our house from here. The view of our neighborhood (the Lower East Side and the East Village) while crossing over the Williamsburg Bridge. Almost home! Home! After stuffing our faces, we hopped in the rental car and headed north on the parkway! We got back to NYC a little before 7pm! Thanks so much for inviting us out, Matt! Flatbush Avenue, baby. Fatty and Grant went and got Fatty's Ford Probe and arranged to pick me up on the corner of Broome and Broadway on the way towards the tunnel.
