...until he'd almost fall out of his seat, than he'd sit bolt upright and the whole process would start all over again. It was really crazy to watch! I can't imagine having that as a medical condition. It was funny to watch everyone on the subway try to pretend they weren't totally staring.
Later that evening, Mer and I headed out to Park Slope to visit Ross and Jordana (who used to live out in LA and you may remember from such entries as Trip to California: Part 5!). Anyway, on the subway ride out to Brooklyn, we witnessed a real live narcoleptic! It was amazing! This guy would start out sitting upright reading his magazine, and then his face would slowly fall into the magazine, and then the entire top-half of his body would slowly slump down...
Siege nursing his swollen nuts on the subway ride out to Brooklyn for the surprise party (which he'd totally figured out was coming. I mean, c'mon, birthday or not it's always suspicious when two of your friends are like "Let's hang out in Manhattan for an hour and then go back to your place in Brooklyn.").
This isn't from New Year's, but it was one of the pics that Katie sent around with the other pics she took of the night and I thought this would be as good a place as any to re-post it.
To start the night off, I headed out solo to Brooklyn to meet up with Vin and the gang at Chris Rubino's house's party. (Hey, look at the dork riding the subway all by himself on New Year's.)

We ended up getting stuck on the ridiculously hot subway platform for over an hour! Then, making matters worse, the subway kept stopping! It took us almost two hours just to get from Manhattan to Brooklyn.
Yeah, so those are pretty much the only good pics I have from the Mermaid Parade this year. I told you it wasn't nearly as good as last year's. Later that evening, a bunch of us headed out to Greenpoint to check out a loftparty in my old building. Dave and I represent on the Cripp tip...
