New Year's Eve 2008

Meredith and I bundled up and headed to Williamsburg to bring in 2009 at Siege and Katie's lovely New Year's Eve Party!

We arrived a little before 11pm and things in the living room were downright civilized!

astra, siege — He also set up a photo booth in the tiny half-bathroom around the corner where the Wii Fit was set up. Here are a bunch of snaps I took from Siege's photobooth. (Thanks, Siege!)

katie, katie d, missy — Missy, her friend and two Katies.

fatty, siege — Fatty giving Siege a New Year's smooch.

cynthia, katie, siege — Cynthia, Siege and KT.

cynthia, me — A little before midnight, everyone left whatever little corner of the party they were in and headed to the main room to bring in the New Year together. Me and Cyn.

amanda, astra, fatty, jen l, meredith — Happy 2009, everyone!

katie d, me — I peeled the label off a bottle of champagne and announced that I was going to try to use a knife to "saber" the bottle (cut the top off of it!). Grant taught me how to do it back in July of 2006, and it's been my go-to "party trick" ever since! Right as I was warming up, Amanda said that she wanted to try doing it!

amanda — I gave her step by step instructions and stepped back to try to capture an action shot. Less than a minute later, BLAMO! Check out the action shot I managed to capture of Amanda cutting the bottle top clean off!

cynthia, katie — The party was impressed.

katie, katie d, missy, siege — As people got drunker, they worked up the courage to try the hula hooping game in Wii Fitness. Missy gets ready to wiggle her middle.

scott ward, siege — Scott doing some hooping. Unbeknownst to all the party guests, Siege had cut a hole into the top of the projection screen and hidden a video camera. If you look at his right hand you'll see he's holding the remote control he was using to activate the camera and record people hula hooping from the vantage point of the screen! SNEAKY!

A couple days after the party, we all received an email from him with a link to a surprise video he'd edited together with all the clandestine hula hooping video he'd shot. It. Is. Amazing. My favorite part is the highlight reel of everyone throwing their hands up and leaning that starts around the 1:45 minute mark (right after Siege does the "white man's overbite") and just keeps getting better. (PS - Make sure you check out Ellen's sideways "tit-sway" at 2:14. Amazing.)

cynthia, jen l, katie — Later on in the evening, I took a picture of Jen bending over with the flash on and it went right through the pair of shiny, stretchy black pants she was wearing. I also really like how it looks like KT is pressing on Jen's asshole like she's ringing a doorbell. Bonus points to The Wang for laughing between her legs. I call this photo DING-DONG-DING-US.

amanda, cynthia, jen l — After discovering that my camera was basically a "panty x-ray" device for those black stretchy pants, we did a round-up.

me, scott ward — Scott and I did our best to try to rep for team "Man Ass," but it just wasn't the same.

jen l, me — Maybe we just need to get pants that are more see-through?

meredith — Just as Mer was starting to feel sleepy...

amanda, astra, ellen s — ...Ellen and Astra were starting to feel piratey. Arrrr!

astra, ellen s, fatty — I love how Fatty's pulling his titties up out of his suit jacket to try and get with the program.

astra, jen l, siege — ...said our farewells...

...and hopped into Cynthia's car to check out a couple of parties in Manhattan.

amanda, scott ward — Cynthia, Amanda and Scott in the front.

fatty, me, meredith — Fatty, me and Mer in the back.

We went to Santos to see if Leigh and Geordon's party was still going on...

...but it was well after 4am by the time we got there and the dance floor had pretty much cleared out. So we made an immediate u-turn and headed to...

goldteeth, lord easy, matt coats — ...Piano's to welcome in the New Year with some late night Karaoke Killed the Cat!

amanda, cynthia, scott ward — Mer and Fatty decided to call it a night, leaving just me and three other party-soliders standing (one of whom was tuning his air guitar, no less).

goldteeth, lauren s — Lauren is a karaoke goddess.

goldteeth, lauren s, matt coats — Feathery eyelashes.

amanda, cynthia — The guy on the right sneaked in right as I clicked the shutter. Cynthia still managed to give him eyes, though. Haha.

Not a huge fan of the background pattern, but everything else looks awesome!

I agree, the background pattern is a bit 'lacy' but everything else looks great! And a nice new comment feature!

I like the new look except for the font used for the picture captions. Totally digging the new comments upgrade.
