So ended our first month as married folks! Meredith took this picture of me taking a pre-Family Night disco nap with my favorite napping buddy. Wiener dogs make excellent neck scarves. Awwww, Tiny Buddy. I came home and found this one asleep in her new dog bed! ...pretending to take a nap in the little farmer's "nap hut" he showed us. Haha. And... Sleepyhead. On the morning of the big day, everyone let me sleep in while they went out for breakfast. Meredith took this photo of my parents coming in to wake me up! Haha. It's really hard to train your dascshund to stay out of the bed when your bed is 5" off the ground. It's her favorite place to be. Meredith sleeps like this ALL THE TIME. With her legs hanging over the bed. She must sense that something feels strange, but rather than move... Fuck this shit, I'm going to bed. This is how Maddy likes to lounge in my lap when I read. Edie fell asleep resting her chin in a sunbeam on the stairs. A-dorable. ...but immediately after the flash went off, I saw her silently extend one finger to let me know that she was actually awake. Meredith missed all the neck-mirror and night-cheese fun because she snuck away to TAKE A NAP AT THE PARTY! Haha. I sneaked into where she was sleeping and thought I was being all crafty when I snapped this picture... Con Ed in the background. ...I found these two napping in the sunshine in the their matching outfits. Reeee-diculous. ...and then puppy batteries would run out. Look at how her head is hanging totally limp! Hahaha. Dead tired! Maddy would go at it fiercely until her puppy batteries ran out. Which happened a lot. I love how her stupid feet go in opposite directions. Landing gear up, please. Look at how Maddy used to fall asleep! All balled up light a little speckled hedgehog. ...she promptly buried her face back under the cushion and went back to puppy-sleep! When I sneaked in closer to get a better pic, Maddy momentarily woke up to see who was in the room. But as soon as she saw that it was only me... On Saturday afternoon, I came back from running errands and found these two sound asleep on the couch in the office. We also noticed for the first time that sometimes when Maddy sleeps, her eyes roll back into her head. She's like the most adorable zombie puppy ever. BRAINS! The world's tiniest bean feel asleep with her little chinny-chin our our Meredith's lap like this. Pink pig puppy belly! Welcome to the family, Maddy! Happy February 2008! This is one of the first times she managed to fall asleep not touching one of us. Haha. ...Uncle Wayne was doing his usual. Peanut Butter Dreams (while wearing a little neckerchief!).
