Around 3pm we decided to pack it up, but not before I tried to take a sweet photo of the two of us together and Meredith made this totally amazing face behind my back. Hahaha. I love how it looks like she's actually licking my shoulder.
...and we teamed up for this incredibly hot photo. (I don't know if you know this, but I'm going to let you in on a huge secret: WE ARE HUGE FUCKING DORKS.)
The post-procedural patient. Hahaha. Meredith had read that if the whack was successful and the cyst had been ruptured, it would take a few days to for it to go away. Nothing to do but wait! (Spoiler: the cyst didn't go away).
And Siege snapped a few funny pics of Mer and I goofing around on the beach with his fancy cam. (Thanks for sending these over, Siege!). Here's our impression of that old Coppertone advertisement where a little dog is tugging at a girl's bathing suit.
The next morning, we got up bright and early and drove down to my parent's little shore house in Beach Haven West. After dropping off our bags, we grabbed some towels and headed to the beach on Long Beach Island.
Later on, I got everybody to get up and do a jump take for my camera. They got it perfect on the first try. Every time I'm having a crappy day, I can look at this pick and it will instantly make me laugh my ass off. Everybody is pulling great faces too (click here for hi-rez version). But the very best thing about this photo is...
Tuesday morning we woke up and headed to the airport to catch our flight back to NYC...but not before we pulled over for a little "beach one more time" detour en route.
Hey, most of you being smarter than me probably already know this, but just in case any of you out there are as dumb as me, here's a little factoid for you: the Pacific Ocean is FUCKING FREEZING! WTF?? You can't swim in there! Here's a picture of Meredith getting the soles of her feet wet moments before screaming and running back to dry land. Damn. That shit was so hold it felt hot! Like and ocean of lava. Fack!
Meredith, being of the fair-skinned persuation, lotioned up with full-on sunblock (including a little dollop for where her hair parts so that her scalp wouldn't burn).
