I love the weird waterways and overpasses as you head into NJ.

Sunset.
bridge
...to head over into Williamsburg to see FAITH NO MORE play!
bridge
Leaving PA.
bridge
I like these kind of bridges.
bridge
On Monday morning I was up early to fly to Charlotte, NC for work. There was a beautiful sky behind Brooklyn when I was crossing over the East River.
bridge
Check out the bridge made out of bamboo and vines spanning the river!
bridge
Then we hit the road. Bedugal or bust!
bridge
George Washington Bridge.
bridge
Perfect road trip weather.
bridge
Pretty.

Sunday was another gorgeous day. Meredith and I decided to walk across the Williamsburg bridge and enjoy the weather.
bridge
View of Manhattan from the bridge.
bridge
The Williamsburg Bridge was a little bit out of the way...
bridge
...but a photo of someone doing a handstand on the bridge was worth 25 POINTS, we thought it was worth the trek.
bridge
Ten minutes later: Amy Albano is now Amy Jachyra! Congrats, you guys!
bridge
Later that evening, a whole bunch of us got on the Metro North train to visit Ellen's new apartment just north of Manhattan. Meredith looking serene at the train station.
bridge
Then under the bridge.

...we walked back into Manhattan from Siege and Katie's via the Billyburg Bridge.
bridge
On Sunday I headed over the Golden Gate bridge again! This time to do some explore the Marin County side of the Golden Gate National Recreation Areas.
bridge
Heading back home. (Home! Arrrrgh!) On the way home we stopped at a Rite-Aid looking to buy the game Scrabble. A few weeks prior, Meredith challenged me to play Scrabble online (I'd never played before!) and I ended up beating her - and she wanted a rematch! Anyway, in the store I noticed that...
bridge
Ok, you do have nice views. I will give you that.
bridge
Sooooo neat!
bridge
We headed over the Golden Gate bridge towards Marin County. Check out the bridge all shrouded in fog from the Bay.
bridge
On the other side we parked in the little scenic pull-over area and watch the fog roll across the bridge.
bridge
On Monday morning I still had a pretty bad fever but managed to pull myself up off the couch and into my hot rental (seriously, you know my Sentra makes all you girls mad wet, yo) to explore the city a bit. Here's the obligatory shot of the Golden Gate bridge.
bridge
Here's me crossing the Bay Bridge for the very first time on my way into town. I decided to move here on super-short notice and I'd heard so many nice things about the town that I didn't bother to read up on it too much. The first sign of trouble occurred when I noticed a sign on this bridge that said "Welcome to San Francisco. Population: 750,000." Less than a million people? Uh-oh.
bridge
We headed back into Manhattan so that David could take their dog Tally for a quick walk...
bridge
Crossing the Manhattan bridge into Brooklyn.
bridge
At the end of Flatbush, you cross the Rockaway bridge and you're almost there.

Look, it's, um, a brige.
bridge
We decided we'd meet up with Stuart and Jeannette (who live in Hoboken and were coming through the Holland Tunnel) on Canal Street. Here's the entrance of the Manhattan Bridge (two blocks from my apartment) on the walk over.

Dave's roof is amazing, the 2nd half of his roof is literally inches away from the Billyburg Brige (seen in the background here).
bridge
Here's another. Beautiful, right?
bridge
And then on Friday, I flew back to San Fran for one more meeting before heading back to tha EnWhyCee. Um, here's some bridge. Yeah, not the red one, the other one.
