We got up early on Sunday and went out for breakfast in the neighborhood. Is an uncle! Reunited with mom in time for bed! Happy baby! Max had just turned 5 months and can (sort of) sit up on his own if you prop him up in a corner real good. Ta-da! Hey, wait a minute - has this all been a big distraction because my mom is away? By the time we got down there, Max was conked out! ...about an hour down to the waterfront to see all the cherry blossoms. Feeding time. I MADE THIS! Amy got up early on Saturday morning to head to her friend's Bridal Shower, so me and Brett were alone with Max on double Mr. Mom duty for the day. ...but I managed to get a smile pretty quickly! On Friday afternoon I took the bus down to DC to hang out with Max. He was a little shy when I first arrived... Strollerin! ...and walked me to Dupont Circle to catch my bus back to NYC. Amy & Brett got Max all bundled up... On Friday morning I packed my bags and said farewell to the exuberant grandparents. Evening bath time with an adorable little walrus. The look of fatherhood in the morning! Welcome to the world, bud! I immediately was struck with the intense feeling that I knew him already somehow.
