Saturday was my last day in NYC before a quick 5-day trip to Tulum I booked last minute! Went to Odessa for some pancakes and bacon. Met up with Grant at Odessa (RIP!) to give him the keys to the cabin so he could go up there for a few days. Had a double-entre late night victory feast from Odessa. A cheeseburger with onions & swiss and an entire container of penne vodka because WHY NOT? (Also, I think the chef added way too much actual vodka because I actually got DRUNK eating this pasta and I don't think that's supposed to happen??) Pancakes & milkshake for dinner is my ultimate comfort flex. ...and had late night pancakes, eggs & bacon from Odessa. (RIP!) Met up with Vin for a big breakfast at Odessa on Friday morning. Went to Odessa for some afternoon winter borst because I am an old man like that. Grabbed a solid Friday Odessa lunch with Grant. (Back 2 back Odessa for the win!) Jane came over for a late night breakfast-foods dinner date! ...for a Wednesday afternoon lunch feast... Had a nice Odessa Saturday catch-up with Grant after spending Thanksgiving with my family in Hilton Head, SC Had my an excellent Odessa dinner and read a book about Yeshe Tsogyal . ...to one of the most all time COMFORT meals I've ever ordered. Got my Odessa on with Grant for lunch... ...to the BIG O for grilled cheese and two sides of veggies. Post-work lunch at Odessa on Wednesday. Grill cheese, french fry, spinach salad combo! Had myself a solo Odessa breakfast experience. (Yes, those are chocolate chip pancakes). Back in the East Village, we celebrated our afternoon wave-jumping triumphs with an Odessa feast! ...soothed our troubles with 1am diner-feast at Odessa. Met up with Grant to celebrate our Seinfeldian life at Odessa. ...headed over to Odessa for pancakes and mantalk. Celebrated my day off on Friday with breakfast-for-lunch. Sha-pow! Odessa lunch is the best part of my new work-from-home schedule. Grill cheese with waffle fries (also with cheese) and an order of potato pancakes to split with Pauly! Holy moly. My Odessa standard: two-eggs over easy with chocolate chip pancakes! Amy's sister Emily joined us and we ordered us a BREAKFAST FEAST! Check out the spread! Afterwards, Mer and I went to Odessa for Sunday diner breakfast! This time we stopped at Odessa on the way to the subway to get a PROPER diner breakfast! Ain't nothing to help you recover the next morning like a big old DINER BREAKFAST! Erika and Scott getting ready to dig into some recovery grub! And Pauly went the, uh, heartburn route. Chili fries, Pauly? Really? Lisa went the breakfast route. Afterwards, I rode my bike all the way back downtown in the freezing cold and met up with Lisa and Pauly at Niagra. We had a couple of drinks and then decided to hit Odessa for some late night grub. LUMBERJACK! I went with one of my old NJ Diner stand bys: Two eggs over, home fries, wheat toast! Meredith got PIZZA FRIES! MMMMMM. Iva dug into her cluuuuuub sammich with an intense ferocity. Hahah. Three times a lady indeed. Then the food showed up! Lisa got the meat-orgy that is the LUMBERJACK SPECIAL.
