On Tuesday morning, we got coffee and then borrowed a shovel from our super-nice neighbors so Brett could dig the car out! Headed back to our place... On the walk home we noticed they'd enlisted bulldozers to help dig things out! TO ODESSA! Abandoned, skidded-out bus stranded at 9th & A. We decided to head out and get some grub! See how deep the snow was? Near the road it was piled up waist deep! On Monday morning, we awoke to about a foot of snow! Almost 11am and they hadn't even plowed the cross streets yet. We came back home, took the wieners for a quick walk... Here's a photo with a flash. Brett improvised and used his sunglasses as goggles. Haha When we got outside it was snowing SO HARD! ...so at 7pm we decided to head back out into the storm and walk up to GameStop on 1st Ave & 18th. ...off into the BLIZZARD! Love you guys! We're... ...snow had already started accumulating! Time to pack your things! Later that afternoon it was snowing near the top of the mountain again. Grant leading the way through. Riding through the trees in deep snow is sort of awesomely terrifying. You have to try to keep your speed up so you don't sink and get stuck, but you also don't want to go too fast, because, duh, trees. So much snow! Check out the view. We woke up early on Tuesday morning and it was snowing. Turns out it had been snowing all night on the mountain... Parking lot snow hearts! It snowed all afternoon. Each time we got off the lift there was fresh snow! Unbelievable. Skiing in deep powder is EXHAUSTING! The snow was so deep I was having trouble evening staying on top of it (especially in the flat parts...forget it!). Grant! So much snow! We woke up at 7:30 to a whole lot of falling snow. It snowed overnight and the trees were dusted in white. I love the way the snow clings to every branch. Walked to work on Thursday in the snow. Later that night we walked through the sleeting night...
