A little after 2pm, Ellen drove over to the East Village and picked me up. ...and we headed upstate to visit... ...and Piper and The Dude picked me up... On Saturday Ellen & Hans... DayQuil wearing off! Almoooost there! Lap-chicken is very ready to be out of the car! Such a good travel buddy. Finally south enough for the weather to be warm and could open the sun roof! Hey, we almost there yet? Hit the road around 9:30am an after an hour of driving, made it to nicer weather. Drove back home before it got too dark! Copilot wants to know if we're there yet. Happy 40th, Scott! Love you! On Saturday afternoon, I grabbed a Zipcar and drove out to New Jersey to surprise Scott for his 40th birthday! Every once in a rare while, you still get a glimpse of the New York of yesteryear when you get picked up by a real-world version of MTV's Jimmy the Cab driver. Love me some dramatic sun rays. Watkins Glenn, is much further from NYC than any of us realized! But that's okay when you've got a van. Palisades on the other side of the Hudson. Up early on Sunday to catch my flight back home. Ellen picked me up bright and early Thursday morning for a dog party hiking trip. FOUR DOG CAR PARTY. She arrived with Piper and The Dude and I rolled up with Maddy and Edie. ...and then caught a ride back into Manhattan on the back on Hans' scooter! I accidentally left my brand new cell phone on the bus and my dad had to drive me to the NJ Transit Bus depot... Excellent beach day! Camera on the dash on the drive home! ...I caught a (terrifying) ride out to Brooklyn with Astra and Amanda. My mom is super into activities. On Wednesday, she suggested we all get in the car and drive about an hour away to... Later that evening, we hopped in my dad's golf cart... Later that afternoon, Uncle Bruce and my cousin Chris picked me and my dad up... 5:30pm sunsent vibes on the drive home! Drove up with Jared & Gurj on Friday evening.
