Here we go! It was really cold outside, and the space was a big, open converted barn, so we had to get the woodburning stove cranking and stay sort of close. Snack party. After the state of singledom was finished being assessed, it was time to salve our wounds.... Went to a dinner party at Ellen & Hans' on Wednesday. After we ate, we busted out the big screen projector... ...Hahaha. And then Quinn took us through her collection of... Two more! ...more people joined in! Each time we snapped... I spent the beginning of October out in Montauk for Ellen & Hans' awesome wedding (lots more pics of that coming soooooon!) ...the women all sneaked upstairs to tuck Matt into bed! Rare Tompkins reunion with these guys! Patterned Dress Gang. Later in the evening I went to La Palapa party room to celebrate Karen's birthday! Friend portrait. First the ladies... Post-dinner Juliette play party. Thanks for having us all over, Sarah! After I got home, I grabbed the dog and walked over to Matt's for a hang. Hmmm, looks like wine and or some other kind of alcohol mixed with an entire section of orange. Served with orange rind to taste. Quinn & Kim returned from the house with some kind of fruit and wine drink they'd concocted together. At one point, someone looked up at at the stitching pattern towards the top of the tent and noticed. "Hey, that looks like a shirt collar up there." Then, "Hey, Wait a minute, you guys..." We wandered around the farm and communed with nature. I spent at least forty minutes sitting on the stone fence watching the tree branches swirl and "breathe." Haha. What do horses like? Haaaaaaay!
